If Lewis comes to the paddock next season all cheerful, smiley, and his usual optimistic self I might not be able to handle it. The reason we're all so outraged is because we've never seen anything so unfair - we've never seen anything like it. Lewis probably has/will get over it - he'll never forget it - but he'll just think "it's done what can I do about it". But this shit has always happened to him. I don't think any of us will forget it simply because this is the first time many of us have seen injustice of such calibre - with no other driver/team principal/personnel associated with the FIA coming forward to talk about how wrong it was. I think seeing Lewis all positive and optimistic will break my heart because he's always had heartbreak throughout his teen years and his adult years - even to this day - and he's learnt to rise past it simply because he's always been hurt and he's realised that he can't let it drag him down or he'll always be in a place of anger and hurt. This optimism isn't because he's always been like this, it's because he's realised that anger and anguish will always damage him. How many times has he felt pain to realise that there's no point in dwelling. It's sickening to think about all that he must have gone through in his 37 years of life and nothing has changed. From that teenager in stevenage who got expelled due to shitty racial profiling to the man who was robbed of off his record breaking 8th wdc due to a blatant disregard for rules and regulations. Nothing has changed. I think Lewis figured if nothing has changed maybe he should remain constant and steadfast in his optimism - allow that to be the positive constant in his life.
