If you looked at him from afar, Romeo could definitely pass as the cold, calculating type. But peer a little closer into his absolute world, and you'll find out that deep inside, he's actually a huge softie!

It's not like he loves you or anything, because he definitely doesn't. Really. Truthfully, he does, but he won't tell you. It's embarrassing for him to admit it.

He does show his love in other ways, though! Lying close to you in bed, rambling long and hard on the couch, stepping in for you when he feels you're not up for the task... It's clear he only wants the best for you. It's just hard for him to tell you outright.

However, when he does say it, it's not in the guise of his usual spiels. It's the truth. He means it, first and foremost, and he won't let you forget it.

And you'll softly pull him in, and you'll go in for a kiss, and even though he'll back off at first, it's clear to both you and him that there'll be no other choice but to reciprocate. And when you're done, and when the stage is set, you'll smile softly at him, telling him the one thing he wants to hear the most:

One day, she came up to you, pleading for help - she apparently misplaced her beloved teddy bear, and didn’t know where to find him. Naturally, the best thing to do was to help her find him. Which you did - in record time, in fact!

When Bridget found out, you could tell she was absolutely ecstatic! Hugging her teddy tightly, she... nervously admitted that she wasn’t sure how to thank you, but when you reassured her that anything would be fine with you, her expression began to soften. You watched her stammer for a bit, before taking a deep breath, smiling softly, and placing a hand on your head, rubbing it gently.

It was SO SOFT. It was the best thing you’ve felt in a thousand years. Since then, you’ve dedicated yourself to getting more of it.

At first, she was surprised by how quickly you came to her aid, even if she tried telling you she didn’t need it at the time. But you were always so determined to do so that Bridget couldn’t help but admire it! Even if things didn’t always go well, at least she knew you tried your best.

Truthfully, she wanted to help you in some way too, since you were always the one helping her. But there was nothing you told her you needed help with - really, you just wanted praise and nothing more! So praise she gave you, time and time again.

It all came to a head when one day, YOU found yourself the one in trouble, being pit against a malevolent beast who clearly had the upper hand against you. And this time, at the brink of midnight... who else came but Bridget herself? You tried dismissing her a thousand times, insisting you’re not hurt, you could handle this yourself, but she had a fire in her eyes that you swore matched yours.

“No, Y/N! You’ve helped me a million times already - now let me return the favor!”

You felt your resistance falter for a moment, which gave the seemingly light girl enough time to bring out her deadly yo-yo and dispatch your foe with relative ease. If you didn’t fall completely in love before, you knew you had now.

“Bridget... I-I’m-” “...It’s okay, Y/N,” she says, softly patting your head like she always does. It’s a familiar feeling to you, one you’ve felt so many times. It almost relaxes you.

“...Th-thanks. You didn’t have to do that for me... Really.” “It’s not a problem, Y/N... I just couldn’t imagine being without you a second longer. You’ve really helped a lot.” “...Wait, was that a confession? All I wanted were headpats...” “R-Really?! Well...”

The two of you stare at each other for a moment, before Bridget brings you into a tight, long bearhug.
