I see a lot of "but he/she would be the first [insert] President" when discussing presidential candidates. I'm not saying that's a bad thing that such a candidate would be the first [insert] as I love progression and am excited to move forward into a mutually accepting future. But for the love of all things good, don't use that as a valid reason to vote for a candidate. Vote for someone because you strongly believe they would be a great President. We need a good President and if the best candidate just happens to be the first [insert] then we just won in both aspects. If you think a candidate would be a better President than the one who'd be the first [insert] then vote for the better candidate. Simple as that.
