I am gonna say this about the finale and then go on about my day:
The characters deserved better writing than what was given.
The actors deserved to have their concerns and suggestions heard and taken seriously when it came to their characters.
POC and SA characters (I am talking about Lestat here) were poorly treated, made jokes of, or villianized.
The abused should never have to apologize to their abusers just to satisfy some weird writer's kink. #justiceforlouis
When your actor tells you that they are uncomfortable with something - you listen and change direction out of RESPECT for your actor. Your scene/storyline CAN change to accommodate them.
I hope season 2 of TVL is the season when actors and their characters are taken seriously.
They have actors who are invested and know the characters and Anne's writing - they just need to listen to them.
