✨Please read this poem sent this morning from a source of light so great. ✨thank you @asad_ch for your #magic ・・・ #poeticmonde + #ElectionResults + @witchesbrewkombucha Look at that ray, my heart tries to say. We build walls, so we can remember what it feels, to take them down. We are all of us so angry, so hungry, so hangry. To be nourished, by our neighbours, but we forget, how delicious a meal, that seal, can be. So we ban the hunting of seals, and forget that this is just a blink. "Ya really think?” Oh but yes in the longer scheme of things. Muscles contract in order to, expand, you would not breathe, if you could not both inhale, and exhale. “Keep your despair at bay.", my heart tries to say. Two nights ago around midnight, biking around with the trumpets ringing "<95% Trump" I was stumped, I am stumped. Because I am a hopeful, still naive, optimistic, first-generation immigrant, who speaks in more than one tongue, and wants to find more words for these complex times. “What about those who say nay?", my brain tries to shout. "Well", I pledge, "to dig my roots deeper, to spread my branches farther." The winds have gotten stronger, my patience and resolve too, the clean water is now further below, must be longer, longer longer. "How about today?”, my heart tries to say. “PLEASE LEAD THE WAY!"
