8ut how am I?

I found out yesterday that my ex has decided to break off contact with me completely, including not paying their outstanding three-month phone bill. I paid this bill - paid for their phone service - for three months as I tried to get the family plan we were on canceled in what I thought was the communicated good faith that I would get repaid. I trusted them, and continued to financially support their life until I could take steps with Sprint to separate our contracts. All told, I covered about $200 during a period where I was struggling financially myself.

I entirely respect and wish to honor their desire to break contact with me. That being said, a desire for strong boundaries and significant distance does not absolve a financial obligation like this. I don’t really know what to do going forth, and I am reaching out to the world of Tumblr for advice, support, and whatever else you can offer.

During the last year, I’ve been dealing with increasingly crippling depression and anxiety. I’ve lost my job, run out of financial aid, and burned through every spoon and ounce of mana I have trying to make my rent and pay my bills. I’m trans*, queer, disabled, and poor as fuck. As it stands, I don’t know how I’m going to make it through the new year - I was counting on this repayment from my ex to cover most of my rent, and a few other sources to fill the gaps. I’ve borrowed money from every source I can find, and there isn’t anyone in my personal circles that I think I can ask at this point.

I don’t really know how I feel about doing this, but where I am now I almost feel like I don’t have a choice. If any kind strangers or friends have any money they would be willing to use to assist me, I am taking donations through paypal. My paypal user email is [email protected]
