Hi friends! Checking to see if there is any level of interest in a Squid Game Big Bang for 2026! For those of you unfamiliar with how Bangs work, here's a brief primer:

Authors sign up to write a fic

Drafts/Check-ins are required by a specific deadline to ensure writers are on track

Anon titles/summaries are posted for artist claims after the check-in

Once a fic is claimed, fic draft is provided to the artist so they can create art based on the fic (no longer anonymous at this point so author and artist can collab!)

Fic and Art are posted at the same time

I have a timeline in mind for this year, with posting starting around the end of June (to coincide with the 1 year anniversary of the show's ending), and possibly a reverse bang in the second half of the year.

So, Inho would find his toothbrush, razors, cologne etc on the right side of the sink, the left-handed scissors suddenly disappeared, the whiskey and tumbler glasses on the right-side coffee table instead of the left...

Gihun cares a lot about Inho and knows it's probably hard living as a left handed person, so their house is a nice blend to make Inho's life as comfortable and easy as possible.

But when Gihun gets mad? Yeah, Inho is spending the next hour or so reorganizing everything while rethinking his life choices along with an apology and how to make it up to Gihun.

Thinking about Hwang In-ho, just that's what I would like to imagine, not sure if I would call that responsible or not.

In-ho meeting Eun-ji (Gi-hun’s ex wife)

Post season 3 where Gi-hun is alive and back to his motel. Eun-ji visits him (maybe it’s the anniversary of Gi-hun’s mother’s death and she wanted to be here to pay respect, or maybe she just happened to visit because Ga-yeong wanted to), anyway Gi-hun knows “Young-il” is Front Man, and after the game, he told Young-il to get out of his life.

Of course, In-ho shows up unannounced, uninvited at Gi-hun’s front door like a lost puppy. Maskless and in casual clothing.

Except that In-ho doesn’t know Eun-ji is here. And it’s Eun-ji who opens the door.

(In-ho knows who she is. He knows everything about Gi-hun’s life. He just doesn’t know why she’s here and his first thought is that they got back together. Cue jealous and pathetic In-ho.)

But it gets worse because Gi-hun sees In-ho/Young-il at the motel entrance with Eun-ji (Gi-hun and she are not getting back together, of course, but he still considers her a friend and he still cares about her), his first thought is that In-ho is going to hurt her. And he goes murderous/insane, full blown protective ex mode.

(In-ho isn’t even gonna hurt her. He’s just too shocked and heartbroken thinking Gi-hun got back with her, and their little conversation is awkward as fuck. Eun-ji thinks he’s Gi-hun’s friend and doesn’t understand why he’s acting weird.)

Then all of a sudden Gi-hun just lunges himself at In-ho, slamming him against the wall and is just about to beat the shit out of him when Eun-ji screams at him and physically drags him away from In-ho. Though he may already have punched In-ho a few times by then. Gi-hun wasn’t going to actually kill or seriously harm him, but after everything In-ho did, yeah he deserved at least a black eye.

Then she continues yelling at Gi-hun for attacking this little man. “This is not the man I was married to. You’re not that kind of person, Seong Gi-hun. What has gotten into you? This man is tiny and polite and you attacked him unprovoked like that? Apologize to him now.”

For some reason, Gi-hun doesn’t tell her about the game or the Front Man. And he just sits on the couch next to In-ho as Eun-ji stands there and lectures him.

Then she orders him to go fetch a first aid kit and doesn’t listen to Gi-hun’s whine about not wanting to leave her alone with In-ho.

In the end Gi-hun leaves for first aid kit because he’s terrified of her.

And then it’s just In-ho and Eun-ji again. And it’s awkward as fuck for In-ho. He still doesn’t know why Eun-ji is here — so he is still under the impression that she and Gi-hun are back together.

Eun-ji can tell that In-ho is nervous. She doesn’t know what he’s nervous about. But she guesses it’s because Gi-hun punched him. So she sits next to him and tries making small talk, which ends up being her gossiping about her ex, Seong Gi-hun.

Then she asks if In-ho and Gi-hun are friends and how they met. And then In-ho starts talking about Gi-hun like Gi-hun puts the stars in the skies — In-ho isn’t even aware of the way he’s talking about Gi-hun or how his eyes light up with yearning —and that’s when Eun-ji realizes; oh.

Oh.

Cue, Eun-ji knows this little man is in love with her ex. Or at least she’s fairly positive he is.

She’s not jealous or threatened because she doesn’t love Gi-hun that way anymore. But this man clearly does.

Actually it’s always gotta be them

In-ho? Gosh, I now put him with Gi-hun, Sang-woo, his wife (obviously), The Recruiter/Salesman and then intermingle these however you wish

Jun-ho I've secretly paired with Jun-hee for months but then I didn't expect Jun-ho and Thanos to be a thing for me (which happened because of Thanos x Jun-hee)

For other fandoms? Arcane I adore Caitvi as well as a poly of Viktor, Mel, and Jaycee, they need to be together. Timebomb you cannot separate.

Marvel is a mess, give me a picture of two characters together, I may hate one of the characters, and I still ship the gosh thing because it looked cute in that moment
