I know I have dozens of ideas I want to write (I do plan to write them / have already started writing some of them) but this one just hits me and I really really really want to start writing about it now;
In-ho meeting Eun-ji (Gi-hunâs ex wife)
Post season 3 where Gi-hun is alive and back to his motel. Eun-ji visits him (maybe itâs the anniversary of Gi-hunâs motherâs death and she wanted to be here to pay respect, or maybe she just happened to visit because Ga-yeong wanted to), anyway Gi-hun knows âYoung-ilâ is Front Man, and after the game, he told Young-il to get out of his life.
Of course, In-ho shows up unannounced, uninvited at Gi-hunâs front door like a lost puppy. Maskless and in casual clothing.
Except that In-ho doesnât know Eun-ji is here. And itâs Eun-ji who opens the door.
(In-ho knows who she is. He knows everything about Gi-hunâs life. He just doesnât know why sheâs here and his first thought is that they got back together. Cue jealous and pathetic In-ho.)
But it gets worse because Gi-hun sees In-ho/Young-il at the motel entrance with Eun-ji (Gi-hun and she are not getting back together, of course, but he still considers her a friend and he still cares about her), his first thought is that In-ho is going to hurt her. And he goes murderous/insane, full blown protective ex mode.
(In-ho isnât even gonna hurt her. Heâs just too shocked and heartbroken thinking Gi-hun got back with her, and their little conversation is awkward as fuck. Eun-ji thinks heâs Gi-hunâs friend and doesnât understand why heâs acting weird.)
Then all of a sudden Gi-hun just lunges himself at In-ho, slamming him against the wall and is just about to beat the shit out of him when Eun-ji screams at him and physically drags him away from In-ho. Though he may already have punched In-ho a few times by then. Gi-hun wasnât going to actually kill or seriously harm him, but after everything In-ho did, yeah he deserved at least a black eye.
Then she continues yelling at Gi-hun for attacking this little man. âThis is not the man I was married to. Youâre not that kind of person, Seong Gi-hun. What has gotten into you? This man is tiny and polite and you attacked him unprovoked like that? Apologize to him now.â
For some reason, Gi-hun doesnât tell her about the game or the Front Man. And he just sits on the couch next to In-ho as Eun-ji stands there and lectures him.
Then she orders him to go fetch a first aid kit and doesnât listen to Gi-hunâs whine about not wanting to leave her alone with In-ho.
In the end Gi-hun leaves for first aid kit because heâs terrified of her.
And then itâs just In-ho and Eun-ji again. And itâs awkward as fuck for In-ho. He still doesnât know why Eun-ji is here â so he is still under the impression that she and Gi-hun are back together.
Eun-ji can tell that In-ho is nervous. She doesnât know what heâs nervous about. But she guesses itâs because Gi-hun punched him. So she sits next to him and tries making small talk, which ends up being her gossiping about her ex, Seong Gi-hun.
Then she asks if In-ho and Gi-hun are friends and how they met. And then In-ho starts talking about Gi-hun like Gi-hun puts the stars in the skies â In-ho isnât even aware of the way heâs talking about Gi-hun or how his eyes light up with yearning âand thatâs when Eun-ji realizes; oh.
Cue, Eun-ji knows this little man is in love with her ex. Or at least sheâs fairly positive he is.
Sheâs not jealous or threatened because she doesnât love Gi-hun that way anymore. But this man clearly does.
And since In-ho looks so helpless and pathetic right now, she may have to do something to help,
