Brotp: Dae-ho and Jung-bae 100%, my first time watching season two, I was new to the fandom and they were ridiculous stupid and funny together.
Notp: Daehun and Indae, I just can't get into it. I know Daehun is semi common (there is fanart which is more than my ships) but not my tea
Random headcanon: An obsessive connoisseur of kimchi, more than the normal, average Korean amount. He will eat only kimchi some days, no other meals.
General opinion: Dae-ho is one of my top five favorite Squid Game characters, I really enjoyed meeting him and seeing a character having a panic attack on screen what was done decently is honestly nice. When I watched season three, I was a little alarmed by how his character was handled but after some time to stew, I've kind of come to look at his character and personality in a way like a younger version of Gi-hun.

Despite s3, JunDae will always be very dear to me, and I do have some ideas for some oneshots featuring them in the Classroom Detective AU, as well as a fix it fic, and I'm so excited to get started!
I've been meaning to share some of my Squid Game Sims stories with all of you, because things have been absolutely wild with them.
As a heads-up, I do use a lot of mods. One of which is the Omegaverse mod so if that makes you uncomfortable, ignore this post ^_^
I'll put them all under a read more because this will be insanely long otherwise. Just know Inhun will be the last chunk in this because I always save the best for last ;)
Alright, so there's a lot of set up with my sims saves, and this one involved getting a good chunk of the characters settled in and getting their relationships together or tearing them apart. I like starting off as accurately as possible before seeing how things go, but I do kind of speed through my side ships a bit, so I can focus on my OTPs.
So I'll start with the nonsense the Thanos/Nam-gyu/Min-su household put me through, lol. (Also just know Thanos went through some hair changes and eventually I recreated both his and Nam-gyu's tattoos but it starts off with what I could find in game).

So as you can see they all got together. Well, I hopped out of this family to work on others, and when I came back, Min-su was in his last trimester of pregnancy! I didn't even know he'd gotten pregnant. And poor Min-su did NOT want to be pregnant or have kids, but I couldn't do anything about it at the time, so he was very sad.
That was also when everything went to shit. Nam-gyu was trying to cook, but set the kitchen on fire. Min-su came running (waddling) in to see what was going on, then promptly went into labor. While in labor he managed to put Nam-gyu out, thankfully, because he nearly died.
Thanos returned right then from his singing career, and they headed to the hospital. Except! The hospital was glitching, so I had to take them back home and Min-su had a home birth. To TWINS! As if that wasn't bad enough, Thanos immediately went into rut. So, uh, Nam-gyu had to go help with that while Min-su had to take care of the newborn twins while being depressed about giving birth. Things have mellowed out since, but woo, what a start to this group. Here are the twins!
Then there's my Masked Officer/Recruiter household. Things here went pretty well and didn't get too wild. They are very horny, though, because they wouldn't stop going at it even when In-ho came over to discuss work lol.
Although I do have to say, while playing a different household, I saw the Recruiter playing Rock Paper Scissors (a mod I forgot I got a long time ago) with a random townie. I just wish I'd been quick enough to snap a pic of it! D: It didn't end in death, but it did make me giggle. Also, the Recruiter had a pregnancy scare, but the Masked Officer had remember to use a condom in time lol, so no baby for them. It does make me wonder what their child would be like, though, and how they'd be as parents...
Next up, are my Jun-ho and Dae-ho sims. I was playing as Jun-ho, setting up things in his little apartment room, when he ran into Dae-ho. So they started chatting, then Dae-ho went to go to the attatched gym to work out, and when Jun-ho followed to keep talking immediately I got a pop up with Dae-ho saying something like "Small talk is fine, but we both know what's really going on here. Wanna Woo-hoo?" like omg. So, uh, yeah....
(My best attempt at angling things so tumblr won't get mad lol)
Briefly, I did also set up a Hyun-ju, Gyeong-seok, and Na-yeon household, and a place for Jung-bae (he lived here lol), Eun-ji/her new husband/his kid/Ga-yeong, a place for Jun-hee and her baby, and No-eul and her daughter. But now, onto the main event!
Inhun!
So, despite me having their relationship start as disliked, Gi-hun kept going back and forth between annoyed and hot-and-bothered when they interacted, while In-ho was fully on board with talking from the get-go lol.
But eventually they started talking more, and despite Jun-ho popping up uninvited, things progressed nicely over a few irl and in game weeks.
(Jun-ho knows what's up and did this on purpose, look at that smug smirk)

I like that he’s close with his family despite everything :( im glad he has a tight bond with his mom and brother even if his brother is kind of a dickweed (and thats putting it very lightly). Also the fact that he can climb shit almost effortlessly? Badass, you go Junho. Fuck it up!
6. What’s something you have in common with the character?
An unhealthy obsession with Gihun…nah jk, on the real tho? Grief, and a drive to reconnect. I miss the things I once had and I want to do everything in my power to find them again, and once I get a lead I stick with it. I try everything to convince fate to cross my paths with it again. I only give up when there’s no more daylight. Tomorrow is another day.
7. Something the fandom does that you like when it comes to the character?
I like when people portray his relationship with his brother, whether it be through memes or headcanons. I love the Hwang bros! Theyre so important to each other and they deserve to be recognized as the best buds they are. I also like it when people accurately represent the sexual trauma he went through with the VIP in the first season, that whole thing was horrifying to watch and Wi Hajun did PERFECT at portraying someone cool and collected but still obviously traumatized, ESPECIALLY when we see him cuffed to the tub in season 2.
8. Something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?

I really dont like the edits of the scene where the VIP is literally abusing him, it just doesnt sit right with me idk…it makes me cringe in survivor.
I also dont like when ppl reduce his character to “the hot cop” or “the badass cop” (that one meme “why kill the hot hot cop like why” is my only exception bc its fucking hilarious to me but even then it made me cringe upon first reading it) like he has a name and its Hwang Junho use it or lose it. He’s looking for his brother and he’s trying to help Gihun, and he’s doing it all for free, the very least we can do is not reduce his identity to him being hot/nm

MY CHANCE TO RAVE ABOUT JUNDAE
I really feel like Daeho could be his bestie because theyre in the same age group and have contrasting personalities but they both share a common ground of wanting to help out. And also, i feel like they both hide a lot of things they dont want to let float to the surface, and they would be able to bring that out in each other just by one look. Daeho would be like a light to shine on the world that Junho didn’t know he needed, and Junho would be the shadows that Daeho didnt think he wanted but once he stepped into them, the heat and pressure of the world got a lot cooler. Theyre hot and cold, sun and moon, ice and fire. I would just really love to see them have a dynamic (but the way things are looking im not gonna hold my breath LOL)
Both of them empathizing with each other on things like having older sibilings and knowing all too well about the games
Both of them being around the same age so theyre into mostly the same things and grew up with similar nostalgia
Daeho being overly protective in a caring, dad way. Junho being protective in a “if anyone ever crosses you ill find out where they live and strangle them in their sleep” way (just like his older brother)
Daeho being AWKWARD at flirting but he found Junho’s wickedly good looks and off putting allure sexy so he tried anyway
Junho having a soft side for Daeho because this boy is so goofy and cute and no one has made him laugh this hard and genuine in a while
Daeho being nervous around guns so Junho never has his weapon on him when he’s around Daeho and if he does he makes sure to let Daeho know its not loaded and the safety is on
Both of them having military training/police training so they share similar stores of basic training and what boot camp was like
Daeho impressed by Junho’s experiences and stories and how brave he was in all of them, and Junho equally amazed by Daeho’s strength and courage to make it through what he did as well
Junho being more driven to protect and take care of Daeho because he knows what Inho had put him through and how badly it affected him
Daeho never letting Junho sulk for too long and not tell him why, and making sure they always talk out their issues
Junho genuinely interested and intrigued by anything Daeho has to talk about since Daeho is the only one that will talk to him about what the games were like and what it was like playing alongside his brother
