Kimi Raikkonen is more scared of the fact that he raced against Max’s father than the fact Max won a race at a young age of 18 years old - Spanish GP ‘16 Race
Bonus (Seb can’t stop smiling after what Kimi had said, and Kimi looked smug of himself):
I’m either The calm or the storm, The Fire or the ice, The Light or the dark, The Loud or the silent, The Tears or the laughter, The nadir or the zenith, The Love or the indifference, I have no middle ground, I have no moderation, I am the extremes, I am the ends of the spectrum, I am the problem, I am the solution, I don’t have balance, Because I don’t seek any, What I do seek, Is purity, Unadulterated purity of, Emotion, intention, thought and action, And because of that, I am, Me.

O’ Near One who is not far from the one who is negligent of him, O’ Generous One who does not deprive the one who hopes for His reward. My Lord, grant me a heart whose longing brings me closer to You - and a tongue whose truthfulness is elevated to You - and sight whose truth brings it closer to You.
Munajat Shabaniyah (via fatima-naqvi)
Illuminate the eyes of our hearts with the light of their looking at You, until the sights of the heart penetrate the veils of lights, and arrive at the Core of Magnificence, our souls suspended by the Glory of your Sanctity.
Munajat Shabaniyah (via fatima-naqvi)
By far my favorite verse from this beautiful munajat by Imam Ali

The blue-outlined dolphins you see above get their glow from microorganisms called dinoflagellates. They are a type of bioluminescent plankton, shown in the lower image, that can be found in oceans around the world. Their glow comes from combining two chemicals: luciferase and luciferin. The dinoflagellates suspended in the ocean do this when they are disturbed–specifically, when the water around them transmits a shear stress above a certain threshold. Typically, this is caused by something larger–a potential predator–moving past, although it can also be stimulated by breaking waves. The higher the shear stress, the more intense the glow, but the dinoflagellates only use their bioluminescence sparingly. If you apply shear stress and keep applying it, their glow fades away without reactivating. After all, they can only produce so much chemical fuel. Glowing Dolphins, I like!
My Lord, let me be attached to the Light of Your Majestic Glory, so that I may know You alone.

If you want to sit with God, go first and sit with those who know God. If you ignore people of holiness, you will be lost. But remember the devil wants you to be lost, so he will constantly try to persuade you that the company of holy people is dull and profitless.

As nocturnal hunters, owls are aerodynamically optimized for stealthy flying. This clip from BBC Earth demonstrates just how quiet a barn owl is in flight compared to a pigeon or a peregrine falcon. The owl’s large wingspan relative to its body size gives it enough lift that it does not have to flap often, allowing it to glide instead, but this is far from its only stealthy adaptation. Owl feathers feature a serrated leading edge that helps break flow over the wing into smaller, quieter vortices. Their fringe-like trailing edge breaks flow up even further and acts to damp noise from airflow. The downy feathers of the owl’s body also help muffle any noise from the bird’s movement, allowing the barn owl to fly almost silently. (Video credit: BBC Earth; via Gizmodo)
Serrated leading edge, vortices 😍
25 Rajab- Martyrdom of Imam Musa Al- Kadhim (as)
Two men were near the chamber of Imam al-Kadhim [a].
The first man pointed, “Look to the side of that house.” The second man looked to where he pointed.
The first man asked, “What do you see in the house?”
The second man replied, “I see a thrown cloak.”
The first man said, “Look better.”
The second man gazed attentively and scrutinized his vision, and then he was certain. “A man in prostration” he remarked.
The first man asked, “Do you know him?”
The second man replied, “No.”
The first man said, “This is your Master.”
The second man asked, “Who is my master?”
The first man exclaimed, “Are you fooling me?”
The second man replied, “I am not fooling you. I do not have a master.”
The first man said, “This is Abu’l Ḥasan Mūsa ibn Jaʿfar. I inspect him day and night, and I have not seen him at any time except in this state which I shall describe to you:
He prays the [ṣalāt] al-fajr, and afterwards he follows that with worship for an hour after his prayer (taʿqīb) till sun rise. He then bows down in a prostration and remains in prostration till midday. A boy was appointed to him to check for midday, I do not know when the boy recognizes that the sun has reached midday, then [the Imam] rises and begins his [ẓuhr] prayer, without renewing his ritual ablutions (wuḍūʾ), and by this I know that he has not slept during his prostration and did not drowse. [For sleeping and drowsing breaks the wuḍūʾ, and one has to renew it in order to perform the canonical prayer]
He remains in this state [of worship] till he finishes the afternoon prayer (ṣalāt al-ʿaṣr). If he prays the ʿaṣr, he then bows in a prostration and remains in prostration until the sun sets. When the sun sets he rises from prostration and prays the sunset prayer (maghrib) without renewing anything [i.e wuḍūʾ], and he remains in the state of prayer and worship until he prays the first night prayer [salat al-ʿatmah, salat al-ʿishāʾ].
When he finishes all this, he breaks his fast on something roasted that is brought to him. He then renews his ablutions. After that, he rises up and spends the whole night in worship until dawn. I do not know how the boy recognizes and tells that it is time for fajr, that I see him [Imam Musa] rising for morning prayer (ṣalāt al-fajr). This has been his state since the time he was transferred to me.”
Then, the second man said, “Fear God, and do not do something ill to him which might cause you to be deprived of grace. You know well that no one does harm to one of them (the Ahl al-Bayt) without their bounties vanishing.”
The first man remarked, “They sent to me more than once commanding me to kill him, but I did not answer them to this, and I made them know that I will not do this, and that even if they kill me I will not answer them to what they are asking me to do.”
After that, [the Imam] was transferred to Fadl ibn Yaḥya al-Barmakī. He was imprisoned there for days, and Fadl ibn Rabīh used to send him a meal each night. He was the only one allowed to enter upon him, so [the Imam] did not eat and did not break his fast except on this meal which was sent to him. This condition remained for three days and nights. On the fourth night, a meal was presented to him by Fadl ibn Yaḥya.
The Imam raised his hands to the sky and said: “O Lord, you know that if I ate this before this day, I would have been performing suicide by my own hands.”
He ate, and then he got sick. The next day he was sent a doctor to inspect the illness.
“How are you"’ the doctor asked. The Imam did not answer. When the doctor insisted, the Imam let out the palm of his hand and showed it to the doctor.
“This is my disease”, said the Imam. There was a greenness in his hand which indicated that the Imam was poisoned, and the poison had gathered in that point.
The doctor left and he said to them [to the tyrants]: “By God! He knows what you did to him more than you do!”
…and thus died the Imam.

The greatness of our imams. In every act is a lesson, only if we paid attention.
‘my eman is low’
look at your salah, look at your relationship with qur’an, with parents, look at your company, look at your sins, look at your time.
when you feel that your eman is low, chances are that you will be able to identify the reasons why your eman is experiencing a dip.

May this dunya leave our hearts, before we leave it regretfully.
One, who adopts patience, will never be deprived of success though it may take a long time to reach him.
