I know that in the books the vampires just kinda shrivel up if they don't drink blood but my own headcanon is that they get like vampire scurvy and their fangs fall out, their nails starts to break, old wounds from when they were mortal starts popping up, eyes changing back, hair stops growing, they're like "reverting" back into being a human again but this time they're dying.

i've said this before and i'll say it again: i think lestat's empathy and capacity for forgiveness is a core part of his character and if you remove that, like, what character are you even writing.
