I've been doodling my me

it took me a moment to realise it because it wasn’t that bright, but oh tides. This is the first time i’ve ever gone swimming in actual phytoplankton, and i wanted to cry. I watched it sparkle around my body and around my arms and hands and it felt like actual genuine magic. The water was calm but it glittered like i was swimming through stars. For that moment in time i felt like i was truly a selkie.
