“We fought a Hound today. Lost 4 mechs against it. But, I saw something today that I thought I’d never see. Captain Blair, the madman, tried to engage the Hound in a mech-duel. But, the most insane part of this was that the thing accepted it, and returned the salute. I personally thought that those hellhounds were some Jerry automata, with not a soul inside them. As for Captain Blair and his crew, they were blown up when that Hound struck their ammunition storage with a shell. Shameful way to go, struck down by a rabid beast of a mech. I’ll miss him and his joyful demeanour. After the engagement, I asked Lieutenant Cunningham about the event, and she confirms that what I saw was not some dreary hallucination. I asked her if she saw its name, and she told me that it was labeled ‘H-17’. I never thought I’d say this, but, I do hope to see that Hound again.”
