Ro is suspicious of her creator's choice of meal. I assured her doritos and tea go wonderfully together.
We went on a trip around town, Lommel, today. We'll post pictures very soon!Â

I made Ro her own 'Madame Tussauds' version, but I changed the proportions a bit and used fuse beads instead of wax. :)Â
Ro was still pleased!Â

I made Ro a deerstalker! We are going to London in December, and since we are planning on taking a Sherlock Holmes Tour, Ro thought she might as well dress accordingly for such an occasion.Â

Eindhoven, The Netherlands, 4th October 2014
Eindhoven, The Netherlands
4th October 2014
Ro has arrived in Eindhoven!
Eindhoven is on the list of the fifth-largest cities of The Netherlands and is the largest city of North Brabant, with a population of 221,402. You can find more about the city here.Â
We started our journey today in "Eindhoven's Railway Station!"Â
Here's Ro proudly posing for the picture, now right across the Railway Station. It was opened on 1 July 1866 and it's very close to the Philips Stadium. On the right side of the picture you can see the statue of Anton Philips, who co-founded the Royal Philips Electronics N.V. in 1912.
Look at that amazing building made of glass! It's called "The Blob."
And this is one of the things you find underneath it! A HUGE underground parking for bicycles!Â
As if the underground parking wasn't enough, here you have more 'fietsen!' Bikes everywhere! Ro thought that it only made the city look lovelier!Â
This is just another part of "The Blob," but this time it doesn't serve as an entrance to the bicycle's parking, it's a store.Â
In the centre of town, near some restaurants, there was this lovely carousel, by which Ro was amazed.Â
This is "Sint-Catharinakerk." Ro found some amazing things inside it. There was a lot of information about it; this church has been through two fires and two World Wars, being reconstructed every time.Â
Ro insisted that I take a few more pictures of the outside, as it has many details.Â
Gargoyles of some sort. I couldn't find much information online in English about the church, but the Dutch article I linked above gives relevance to its two towers, named David-tower and Maria-tower, each 73 meters high!
The beautiful entrance. This church was demolished in 1860. The building as it stands today, with its neogothic architecture, started being built in 1861 and was completed by 1867.
Ro couldn't wait to go in, so in we went! Little did she know what we were about to find! We were both absolutely amazed by it all!
Take a look at this!
Skulls!Â
And more skulls!
Inside the church there is an exhibit that details an archaeological excavation that took place here, beginning in 2002! Ro was completely stunned by all this. Here is an article I could find on the subject of the excavations, and there's another one here that is worth looking at.Â
Here is another huge church! We didn't get in so I don't have any information about it, which I admit is a bit of an anticlimax after all we saw inside "Sint-Catharinakerk." Still, skulls! Ro went on and on about the skulls!
To end our journey we took a walk around the many stores in the city centre, and look what we found! A MASSIVE toblerone! Ro loves Cabin Pressure and she insisted on taking a photo next to it! It was a brilliant day!

Ro likes to watch while I write. She comes up with great ideas but I have to keep reminding her that I don't write about robots all the time.Â

Ro helped me choose this sort-of-shelf in felt to organise things a bit better. The grey colour was not a coincidence.Â

Hasselt, Belgium, 3rd October 2014
Hasselt, Belgium
3rd October 2014
Ro has arrived in Hasselt!Â
Hasselt is the capital of the Belgian province of Limburg, with a population of 71,520. It's very easy to travel around town by bus, as a zero-fare policy has been implemented in 1997. We walked across town by foot though, because the town is beautiful and the weather was quite nice. Here you can find more about the city!
Hum, where to go, Ro wonders...
We started by the 'Grote Markt' as it is pretty much the centre of the town. It has some nice restaurants and many, many stores.Â
Like this amazing coffee/tea shop! Ro pointed out how beautiful these teapots are and I agreed with her. She told me they go with her eyes. We're not buying that, Ro...
And look at these cakes! Yummi!
First actual stop: "Sint-Quintinuskathedraal." There was some construction going on on the outside, but Ro really loved the stained glasses and the effects they make when the sun shines through them.Â
And here you can see its beautiful top!Â
First monument! Ro and I looked out for some information about this one, and it's called the "Solo-Orto Memorial." It's right at the back of St. Quintinus Cathedral. Unfortunately all the information I was able to find about it is in Dutch here, and it's pretty much about new beginnings and positive thinking.Â
Next on: Ro really loved this pub!Â
This one is called "Het borrelvrouwke." and the word 'vrouwke' stands for woman, 'borrel' stands pretty much for drinking. Which is exactly what she is about to do. Ro wondered if the 'little lady' would ride the bike later, which might be dangerous with all the drinking.  I assured her she won't.Â
First war memorial. In memory of the victims of I and II World War.Â
A monument to the missionaries, and to King Leopold II who did in fact a lot of awful things, like these.Â
Another war monument, "Gedenkplaat gefusilleerden 1ste Wereldoorlog."
This cannon is "Howitzer 8"" sent by the United States in 1988 to remember the 2nd armoured division "Hell on Wheels."
On our way to the "Japanese Garden." The fields around and to get here are quite pretty, there's even a small lake.Â
We didn't get in, but Ro still wanted a picture! This "Japanse Tuin" is close to the town's schools and Universities. It's a good place to run, cycle, or simply go for a walk, if the weather cooperates.Â
As we were heading back home across the "Grote Markt", Ro spotted this Volkswagen Minibus. There was a wedding and this was the newly-weds' ride! Ro was absolutely delighted! The icing on a delicious cake of a day!

We both cooked some stuffed pasta shells. Chicken, paprika, spring onion, mushrooms, croutons all involved in sour cream! It was delicious!

We have friends coming over and Ro insisted in helping me prepare their room. She was very helpful!
Ro's First Trip
28th September 2014
Ro was feeling a bit lonely, and tired of staying in the house all the time. God knows that there is enough to keep me busy, but not to keep a robot made of felt not bored.
She stood at the window all morning, watching the cars drive by. We live in a busy street. Across the road from us there is a house with a few peculiar animals, amongst which kangaroos! How cool is that? Some are even albino kangaroos! Ro has asked me how they handle the Belgium cold, and I really didn't have an answer for her. Maybe we should research.Â
Ro asked me if we could go out. I was planning on going out anyway, so I thought I'd take her with me. She was very pleased!Â
And here she is! Fearless, standing right on the dashboard of the car! We had to refuel before we left town! There were quite a few people at the petrol station, and Ro was very excited!
I tried to calm her down a little bit, but Ro really, really wanted to take a look at the road! She needed to see the other cars, and people, and trees passing by sooo fast!
She went the whole time like this, by the window! I've never seen Ro so happy! She loves riding in the car!
This is Bladel, a small town in The Netherlands, and our destination point! Ro posed for a beautiful photo by the Town Hall and then we went for sushi! it's officially her favourite food now, which is a bit of a bummer to me, as my home-made food used to be her favourite food. Well, as long as she's happy, I'm happy.
When we returned home Ro was as happy as I've ever seen her. She said she had a lovely day, the best so far. I promised her this is just the beginning.

Hey ro! :)
Ceebot, what’s this?
(It’s an online message,Ro.)
Oh? What should I say?
(Say hello back, just talk normally, as if they were in front of you.)
Oh! Okay. Hello, you look lovely today!!!
(Ro…)
What?
(Nothing. Carry on.)
Hi! Wow, this is spectacular! Well, hello there, and thank you for popping by into my blog! Ceebot made this for me! It’s a blog about my trips, and really about me.Â
Ceebot, what else should I say?
(Whatever you want, Ro. Try to say farewell.)
Oh, okay! Goodbye! And thanks for saying hello! I hope you come back! *waves*
Was I okay, Ceebot?
(You were fantastic, Ro.)
Spectacular!
(Ro, have you been watching ‘Moulin Rouge’ again?)
Maybe.Â
This is Ro, and Ro is a robot.
She was created on the 21st of September, 2014 with lots of felt, a few plastic buttons and love. She insisted on the hairbow.Â
Ro is curious and kind and she wants to see a bit of the world she's in.Â
I am Ro's creator, and this is a journal of Ro's journey on planet Earth.Â
Won't you come along?
