the more i non conform to gender in my presentation in public, the more fearful and aware I feel about other's disapproval or anger specifically. this has made public pride flags, trans flags especially, more significant in terms of reminding me that other trans people exist everywhere, including loudly in public. depending on multiple factors like class, location, passing-ability(?), presenting as gnc has its risks. Yet, it feels so amazing to live out as much to as possible to this beautiful inner expression that is being trans, i feel so grateful for this kind of light inside of myself. It feels a bit nice to see these flags out there, as a potential sign of trans people, living in the area or plp supporting people that are trans in general. it makes it feel little easier to exist in public. I wish there was public symbols to ease the heartbreak I feel when other people of color ostracize in public me for being trans tho. I still wonder if the people who bear trans flags would also ostracize me for being a person of color. like I’m over here projecting that there is solidarity in begin trans with the people that bear trans flag in public, enough solidarity to extend to my existence as a person of color, when in reality, that may not be true. This started out as a flag appreciation post, and it ended with flag questioning, I guess that kinda makes sense for an intersectional person experience? Its probably better that I stay questioning flags anyway 

i wanna start posting on here so bad but it feels so vulnerable and potentially dangerous, just not knowing what folks can do with what i share. i want to share personal thoughts and that feels like it could be exploited or something. how do y'all do it? what are some things that help you post, or do you let go? if you're a mutual, feel free to message or to respond in the comments. its okay if its our first time interacting like this
