Udaipur in 3 Days: A Perfect Itinerary for First-Time Visitors
Three days is a sweet spot for Udaipur. It is enough time to hit the big sights without feeling like you are sprinting through your own vacation. Check out the perfect 3-day Udaipur itinerary.Â
Day 1: City Palace and Lake Pichola
Kick things off at the City Palace. It's massive, full of museums and courtyards that walk you through centuries of Mewar history, and you could easily spend half a day just wandering. As evening rolls in, hop on a boat across Lake Pichola and watch the palaces turn gold in the sunset.
Day 2: Sajjangarh and Local Markets
Morning belongs to Sajjangarh, better known as the Monsoon Palace, perched up high with views that stretch across the whole city. Once you're back down, spend the afternoon poking around Hathi Pol and Bara Bazaar, great spots for textiles, handicrafts, and miniature paintings if you are in a shopping mood.
Day 3: Fateh Sagar Lake and Eklingji Temple
Save your last day for Fateh Sagar Lake, maybe with a stop at Nehru Garden if you've got the time. Later, take a short drive out to Eklingji Temple. The carving work alone makes the trip worthwhile.
Getting around smoothly makes a real difference too, and an Innova Crysta rental service in Udaipur takes care of that, so you are not stuck figuring out local transport between palaces and lakes.
