Sophie was running on fumes, at this point. She always had to work harder than some of her classmates, but she managed. And while most of the time being the daughter of a basic millionaire, it helped her get the best tutors money could buy; but on the downfall, it also made her father be on her case more often than not. In the moments that he cared, he was always asking where she was, what she was doing, treating her like she was a child. And for the most part, she was okay with that. Until it got constant. And with finals coming to a heed in the next month, she was already stressed and annoyed enough to the point where she was close to losing it.
So she took a break, shouting out that she was making a coffee run and bolted from the house before he could stop her. The walk was short, but enough time to clear her head. She got lost in her thoughts, trying to sort through what she still needed to do when she was brought back down to reality as she bumped into someone outside the Lima Bean. “I’m so sorry!” She exclaimed, looking up at who she ran into. Teague liked working at the Lima Bean. He would go into the office, gather whatever he needed for the day then head out. And as he was the boss’s son, no one really did anything to stop him. It helped that he always managed to get everything done, early. He headed for the coffee shop, his phone in hand, texting a co worker, offering to bring them back a coffee later. He was in front of the Lima Bean when he felt someone run into him- or maybe he ran into them, really he had no idea.
“Shit-” He managed to not drop his phone, catching it after it slipped. “It’s fine- Oh hey.” He realized who it was and what little annoyance he’d felt faded. “Sophie.”
