I woke up at 7:30 and started my day. In between every task, I was blowing my nose… so fun, so raw. Put on clothes, washed my face, makeup, food, pack, pack some lunch, and head out. I had a gigantic piece of luggage with me and was wrapped up way…

Woke up a bit later than expected. I did not sleep well. Lots of weird dreams and a super sore knee. I crawled out of bed took my meds, got dressed, washed my face, put on makeup, blew my nose so many times that the makeup was now pretty much useless, ate, and ran out the door cause I was late for a the first meeting with our pitch coach that was hired in. It was cold outside. That’s it, it was cold outside.

I got in and interrupted the initial meeting and then put my stuff down and joined the group. He talked about what his approach would be and then we got started in a warm up. A classic theatre warm up of equating energy levels to numbers and walking around at those levels. Followed that up by shrinking pitches down to 30 seconds and then taking one bit of your pitch and making up a lie about it. This was a very fun hour of very weird stuff for sure. Then started the one on one series. I was only able to watch the first but was glad I had the chance to as he has a great approach and was working with Sarah from Barratio and she needs a lot of presentation help.

After that one though I had a meeting with Hotelhero to work on an investor deck to send out this weekend. Talking with them is so nice because they do like half the work before talking to me and know exactly what they need and I can tell them my exact thoughts. They are the best. I then got back to my desk to find 2 assignments for waffle. First was to make a small change to the illustration we worked on yesterday and then make a cover photo for their LinkedIn pages. I love doing this sort of stuff, just the entire brand identity is so fleshed out I love it.

Then after that I got started on the deck for Hotelhero and continued to work on that for a while until Antonio from Fresco came over. He had sent me all the things I needed for his landing page. I’ve never made one so I’m super nervous, but why not, let’s do something weird. He also reminded me that I was going to make a logo for his 2 new name options: justFRESCO and hiFRESCO. I’m leaning towards the former and he to the latter and my reason is the way the name looks and his is the way it sounds even though he never can pronounce the “h” so it sounds like iFRESCO which is not great. I also got to look at a deck from Antonio which is where I found “SMOOTY” which made me laugh for WAY too long. I then ate my lunch of yesterdays leftovers and worked on some logos. He doesn’t want too much of a change, but luckily knows the style that he wants it. 2 colors, 2 different font weights and the O to have this leaf on it. Super easy, I thought. He proceeded to get very picky and told me to take my time with the font choice even though I already had. He also thought I used 2 different greens even though they were identical… This might be tougher than I thought. Then I got started on the landing page. I’ve never used Wix before and I gotta say, much harder when it is in Italian. Google translate has gotten quite a workout on my computer.

I worked on all that stuff until about 4:30 when I got interrupted by Asaf looking for help on finding Ski clothes for our trip. I showed him all the stuff on Decathlon but he wasn’t sure he would be able to afford it so he started asking for help around the office. Then Roy came over and gave me all the copy for a pitch deck that they need ASAP. This week has been so tiring but I’m glad I’m able to help so many people. At 5pm I decided to head out so that I could head to Decathlon and also have time to pack.

At Decathlon I got myself some really cheap snow pants and some better ski socks cause I can just tell that my current socks don’t have enough cushion for my sore ass feet. I then headed home to start packing. I for sure am over packing, but I’m also not interested in being cold on this trip. Forgot to buy hand warmers at Decathlon but I will probably go again mid-day with Asaf to get him some stuff so I still have time. After packing some stuff up I headed to the grocery store to pick up food for the trip and then nabbed a Kebab at my place that I always grab them. Headed home and ate up. Then I relaxed, saw the posts that 2 of my former coworkers are pregnant. Good luck to them… Blew my nose maybe a million more times. Took some meds, played some video games, and now I go to bed.

I finally slept a bit better than usual. I wasn’t nearly as conscious as I usually am. I woke up at 7:30 so that I would have enough time to take a shower. I took my meds and cleaned myself, lotioned, makeup, musli and vitamin C stuff, hair, no lunch making because I have no food, and then I was running surprisingly early… Like way too early.…
