It’s a dose of Glee-ception, ladies and gents. Your favorite canon characters are (mostly) unknown adult actors, recently cast for an up and coming show on ABC. While their characters can only drool over the idea of fame, the actors themselves are already living out their dreams. The only question is, can the boundary between fiction and reality become too blurred?

We apologize for our absences. Life has gotten crazy for both of us. However, I, Admin KT, am back and will be dropping two plots within the coming weeks. It’s pretty much just been a waiting game for the characters as they wait to hear from their management about being picked up. They won’t have to wait much longer. Then we can get into the really fun bits. So be on the lookout for the plot drops.Â
We here at Performing the Arts want to take a moment to congratulate our Mercedes player, Tori, on having a successful birth and welcome baby J into the world! Happy Birth Day, J!Â

YOUR CHARACTER’S SHOW BIO:
People say that life is hard for everyone but Peter thinks that whatever deity made him, was cruel enough to make it extra hell for him. How else could you explain the fact that his earliest memories are like the live-action person of A Child Called It. Half the time he doesn’t actually know what he remembers or what he made up or had some court appointed therapist tell him how bad it was.
Not that it matters anyway because he’s damaged goods. That was something Peter learned from a young age. People only love you – or at least tolerate you, so long as they’re paid to. Not that every foster family he had was terrible but it was hard to feel like any of them were real family when he knew they were paid to have him.
For a long time, Peter searched for a place where he could belong and for a long time he tried to find himself. But when you live out of a garbage bag full of the only possessions you have in the world, because you live in a new home every year, things get lost. Sometimes it feels like pieces of himself also get lost or left behind in each home he’s forced to leave.
Peter’s taught himself not to get too comfortable anywhere, including the new placement he’s in. Though, they seem nice and are kind to him, they even encourage him to pursue his passion of art, enough to help him get into a new school, he knows all too well how easy it is for people to give Foster kids back. He could wake up tomorrow and his life as he knows it could be gone.
BIOGRAPHY:
Harrison and Lorelai Clarington used to be high school sweethearts, once upon a time. They were crazy in love and they didn’t care who knew it. At least, that was when they were teenagers. Like most high school romances, theirs fizzled out the moment collage started. For a long time, neither one of them gave each other a second thought, as they focused on their degrees and their current romantic partners. That was until they ran into each other at their tenth high school reunion.
Now, in their late twenties, they rediscovered each other and found that passion they once had. It took only six month of dating before they were married. For many years, they were happy together. Or rather as happy as they could be. Harrison was a workaholic and Lorelai started feeling lonely. Though she had her own career to focus on, there came a time when she was ready to start a family.
As she started going through fertility tests, the doctors found that she had a growth on one of her ovaries. After getting a biopsy done, they found out it was cancerous but the good was that it was at the first stage and hadn’t spread, so there was no need for chemo or radiation. Lorelai ended up having to get one of her ovaries removed just to be safe, which didn’t bode well for her chances of getting pregnant, though it wasn’t impossible.
After several years of fertility treatments and a lot of trying, finally she was pregnant. From the very beginning, Hunter was treated as the miracle child. Anything he could possibly want, he was given. Hunter grew up thinking that he was the center of the world and he deserved everything. It turned him into the world’s biggest brat and with his mother who constantly coddled him and his father who was hardly ever home, Hunter started acting out.
At first it was just little things, like stealing from shops that he could afford ten times over and breaking into houses or trespassing on private property. Whatever they thought would be fun. Eventually he started hanging out with kids who were already drinking, smoking and doing drugs – kids that were from the wrong side of the tracks and had nothing to lose and they introduced him into more dangerous things.
When he was fourteen, while out with his friends, who were all drunk, they thought it would be fun to steal a car and go for a joyride. Unfortunately, none of them knew how to actually hot wire or break into a car, so the better alternative was taking Hunter’s mom’s car. Hunter, who was barely tall enough to see over the steering wheel, was the lucky one who got to drive and of course he had no idea how to actually drive. So, the second they were on the road, speeding through the streets.
With the music blaring and the car filled with smoke, it seemed like the fun was never going to stop and Hunter took his eyes off the road for a second at most, as he glanced towards his friend Connor, who was sitting in the in the passenger seat. In that blink of an eye, Hunter lost control of the car, crashing it into another car that was broken down by the side of the road. The last thing Hunter remembered before his head hitting the steering wheel was the sound of someone screaming.
When Hunter woke up, he was in the hospital and it took only three seconds before the cops were surrounding him, asking him questions that he refused to answer. Later that day, as he was being released, Hunter found out that there had been a girl in the car he hit and he was told that she may never walk again but he was lucky she didn’t die. The official charges were reckless endangerment, vehicular assault, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, reckless driving, and operating to endanger or whatever else they could pile on. The only good thing that Hunter did right was being knocked out enough that he couldn’t leave the scene or flee.
Hunter was arrested from the hospital and taken to a juvenile corrections unite, where he stayed all weekend until mom was able to post the bail to get him out. Hunter was finally released out on bail with a monitor putting him on house arrest until the court date. When the court date came around, Hunter’s lawyers argued affluenza as his defense, stating that coming from a family full of wealth and means, meant that Hunter was never taught right from wrong. Since, Hunter was an only child and doted on since birth, it was easy to say that his mom had never taught him what she was meant to, in favor of giving him everything else.
Surprisingly, it worked. The judge came back with a verdict that instead of sending Hunter to a youth prison, he was to be sent to military school in Colorado Springs, until he was eighteen years old and on probation until twenty one. At first, he hated the very idea of military school. Having someone shout orders at him and having every second of his life scheduled was not at all what he signed up for but it was probably better than being stuck in a 9x10 cell.
After about a year, Hunter somehow managed to adjust to it and even started to like it. He found a place in the glee club, and rose quickly in their ranks becoming Captain by the time he was a junior. He also started gymnastics, though nothing on a professional level, it was just something that added an extra edge. The show choir, performing and structure gave Hunter a sense of purpose. It also introduced him into a passion he never guessed he would have had. The military life was never for him but maybe he could do something else once he graduated.
Though, it took him a long time to get there. After being accepted to Northwestern, Hunter was doing his undergrad in poli-sci and law when he realized he hated it. Without a second thought, Hunter dropped out, packed up his stuff, took his trust fund and moved to California. For a long time he worked crappy jobs like a go-go dancer at a gay club for a while and a waiter during the day while he lived in a small studio apartment with bars on the windows, until he managed to get a small break.
A woman who came into the cafe where he worked told Hunter that he had the right kind of look that she needed for a photo shoot she was doing. And though he had never thought about it before, he found himself modeling from that point on. It wasn’t much of an increase in money and it didn’t land him on the walkways of Milan fashion week but Hunter enjoyed it. He found himself an agent and a manger, even a publicist who started sending his head-shots and audition tapes out everywhere, hoping that someone would bite.
Sorry for the delay. I got a little busy with real life, but the role of Hunter Clarington is closed and up for review! We will get things posted here in a moment.Â
