LAZY SUNDAYS
Elliot: always looked forward to any time he could spend at home. Since Layla had told him she was pregnant again with their second son, home and his family were a priority. Mostly, he wanted to be around this time. He wanted to help Layla with anything involving the baby and he wanted to help Parker through this transition. He was an only child but he knew a new sibling was going to be a hard thing for their son to take in. For now, it was a little easier because a new baby brother sounded exciting for Parker. What didn't sound as exciting was the new preschool they were making him go to. Eli was still having a hard time selling that one. He couldn't help but think that was the reason the little boy had stayed in his room the majority of the day. "Babe, I think one of us should go in there. I've never heard him or seen him be this quiet and sad before. Normally we can't get him to stay in his room." Eli sighed loudly and sat down next to his pregnant girlfriend, placing his hand on her bump.
Layla: 's current pregnancy seemed to be a breeze compared to her first, at least thus far. Not only was her morning sickness almost none existent, but Elliot was around for this one. That fact alone seemed to make her pregnancy a lot more bearable than the first when she had to do everything for the first time by herself. Her boyfriend was a huge help, and it was more than appreciated, especially on the days Layla became exhausted rather quickly, resulting in her being far too tired, physically, to deal with Parker. "I know." She spoke up, her hand lifting to rest over Eli's on her stomach, her lips pressing into a tight line. "Maybe it's normal though. I mean, no kid likes the thought of being away from their parents for the first time, and we both know how dramatic he can be." She let out a quiet sigh, knowing that the idea of preschool really upset their son. "How about we take him out for dinner? Somewhere he wants to go, and we'll talk to him about everything after?"
