I’ve decided Multiverse in Review is going to keep spending time in the present in addition to doing the traditional deep dives into history. So today I’m reviewing Unbowed in the first of a series of shorter reviews of modern stories!

Multiverse in Review starts the new year with some odd bits and bobs I’ve missed during the Weatherlight Saga. This time: Portal Second Age, a strange set full of guns.

Multiverse in Review takes a (very short!) look at the Battlegrounds video game, which decided to give a (very short!) backstory to Magic’s most mysterious wizard, Arcanis the Omnipotent

I reviewed the Battlemage game a long, long time ago. But in Dominaria Ethan Fleischer slipped in a reference to an in-game document that I hadn’t discussed, so... let’s go back to that game and see what we missed!

I you have told me when I started my blog that I would eventually be reviewing a story featuring the Elder Dragon War I wouldn’t have believed you. But here we are!

Time to finally wrap up the Otaria Saga with an overview article in which we speculate on just how the period in Magic’s storyline ended up so reviled.

In the last Multiverse in Review article I look at how Onslaught block’s story was represented online. We uncover a whole new story that never made it into the cards, and I get mad about a 16 year old article in which a new way of handeling the storyline is introduced.

It is my favorite of the Magic anthologies, as all those secrets it reveals mean it actually ties into the larger continuity more often than not, rather than just presenting some random stories.

Multiverse in Review returns to its regular schedule with a look at the coverage of Odyssey block on various websites.

From now on I’m going back to my old schedule of releasing a review every other week. It’ll be good to wrap up the rest of the Otaria saga!
