“That is much appreciated,” Markus replied with a smile checking the time. “Well I unfortunately have to get going so I can get up in the morning early,” Markus replied petting Bennie again as he stood and stretched.
Oli smiled and nodded. He was glad to have put a good word in and was glad that Markus had helped him. “Oh! Okay.” Oli stood. “That’s totally understandable! I had a great time.”

“Can’t wait to hear them. Who knows I might be security at your next gig,” Markus replied with a friendly smile and chuckled sipping the water more. He stretched his a loud groan.
“You might be. I gave rave reviews of you to my manager.” He grinned as he sat. Oli ran his fingers through Bennie’s fur with the grin still on his face.

Markus chuckled and took the bottle from Oli and took a swig from it. “Oh? Recording a new song and potentially hearing the final product of one? Sounds exciting,” Markus replied turning his attention from Bennie to Oli.
“Yeah! I’m excited for it.” Oli nodded before taking a drink from his own bottle. “I’m always excited to get in the studio and work on some tracks. Hopefully this album will be done by early next year or sooner. Just depending how things play out.”

“Water if you got it,” Markus replied sitting on the couch and petting Bennie more. “Recording something tomorrow or is it getting ready for a tour?” Markus asked loud enough for Oli to hear him in the kitchen.
“One water coming up!” Oli replied as he got a couple bottles of water out of the fridge. He then went into the living room and smiled when he saw that Bennie was having the time of her life getting attention. “Recording something. Hopefully the song I was working on is ready.”

Markus smiled and gave Oli’s dog a pet. “Smell my doggos huh?” Markus asked with a chuckle petting the Bennie. “Nice to meet ya,” he added. “Can’t stay to long though. Got another security thing early.”
“She sure does,” he said, stepping to the side to let Markus deeper into his flat. “Totally understandable. I’ve got something at the studio in the morning.” Oli led the other to his living room. “Feel free to make yourself at home anywhere you want. Is there anything you want to drink?”Â

“It took some bonding at first but yea,” Markus smiled parking and getting out of the car. He walked over to the passenger side and opened the door for Oli. “Dogs are more amazing than we think.”
“Oh, definitely.” Oli nodded as he got out of the car. He jogged up to the door and unlocked it for them. “Hey Ben!” He greeted as his dog quickly went to the door to greet them. “Markus, this is Bennie. Bennie, meet Markus.” He smiled as the black lab wagged her tail.

“Yea I was lucky to get Kujo back after I was discharged. He was in the army a little longer before being discharged and brought back to me,” Markus replied pulling up to Oli’s house. “Their brains from what I could tell have similarities like human’s, maybe on the same level but yea.”
“It seems it was destiny that brought you and Kujo together. That’s what I think of Bennie and I as well. It was destiny.” Oli smiled as they reached his flat. “That’s really amazing! I never knew that about dogs.”

Markus continued driving and following the GPS. “Yea. Helps Kujo too having Cerberus in case I’m not there and he has a flash back. Cerberus is there to help ground him and calm him when I can’t,” Markus replied with a soft smile.
“I love that for you. You and your dogs help each other and have a beneficial bond.” Oli replied. “I didn’t know dogs could have flash backs, but I’m glad Kujo has you and Cerberus to help him through.”

“Yea but thankfully my dogs tend to be nearby if I have a PTSD moment to calm me down,” Markus replied pulling up to a stop light. “But anyway. How much further till your place?” Markus commented thinking aloud and looking at his GPS.
“I’m glad they are nearby. Dogs are really great.” Oli smiled, knowing how great Bennie tended to be. “Not too long. Just two more stop lights.” He said, recognizing the neighborhood.

Markus chuckled and smiled. “Helps both me and Kujo being quiet. We can handle loud noises we are aware of before they go off but the unexpected loud noises is what can trigger things,” Markus explained hoping he wasn’t over sharing.
Oli listened intently and nodded. He personally had no idea what it was like to live with loud noises triggering things, but he could understand how it did affect others. “I can definitely see the appeal of wanting to live where it’s quiet. That makes sense. The sudden loud noises are scary.”

“That makes sense. Easier to commute and such,” Markus responded with a smile. “It’s quieter where I am which helps not trigger some PTSD but I do have an office in the city for my security company services,” He added pulling up to a stop light.
“Yeah, I’m not from the area and I wanted to be able to get where I need to go easier.” There was another smile as he listened. “That’s makes perfect sense.”

“Oh fancy. Got one of the new ones?” Markus asked with a soft chuckle. He propped Oli’s phone up so he could better see and follow the GPS that he set. “Got my own 2 floor house out a bit in the suburbs,” Markus added with a smile.
“I do have one of the new ones. To be honest, I was surprised I was able to rent it with Bennie.” He chuckled as he leaned back in the seat. “The suburbs, nice. I wanted to be close to the studio so I stayed in the city.”

Markus smiled closing the car door and jogging around to the driver side. He got in and started the car, revving the engine. “Back to your place?” Markus asked starting to pull out of the parking lot.
“That works. I’m in one of the flats overlooking the river.” He smiled. “I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I can use my phone’s GPS.” Oli got out his phone and put in his address so they could be guided from their current location.

“Sounds like a plan,” Markus smiled and got up. Knowing the bill was paid, Markus headed for his car with Oli. He opened the passenger door for Oli.
Oli followed Markus out of the restaurant. He got into the car. “Thank you.” He said before closing the door gently.

“If ya go to a rescue place I’m sure they can find a pupper that would fit what you just said,” Markus replied with a soft smile. “Cerberus is actually a rescue and the place I went to understood quite well that I wanted a friend/companion for Kujo that wouldn’t be full of energy all the time,” Markus added.
Oli listened carefully and nodded his head. “Bennie is a rescue, so I have no problem with getting another rescue.” He smiled. “I’ll have to try going to the rescue and see what kind of dog I vibe with.”
