Soulbound Muses

Breaking her rules when it came to her picture being taken in general Erin graced her Mom with a rare smile knowing other photos would be crazy later on.

"I am going to make an effort to abide by the rules, but my girlfriend happens to be so very sexy it is hard to concentrate," Ian joked, giving her side a squeeze and her lips a little peck, "But your parents are going to be suspicious if we stay too long so get in," he chuckled and herded her inside the van.

"Your dad is suggesting we have a bodyguard following us around," Ian joked. While he didn't admit it out loud, he quite liked Erin's dad. Both her parents really. Admittedly because it was fun teasing him.

Giving her dad a really look at the mention of a body guard, Erin just arched a brow as she mulled over something, taking hold of Ian's arm and resting her chin on his shoulder affectionately while talking to her dad "Well I'm sure Mr Fischer will be too busy looking out for Kevin and Carrie, but if we have any problems we'll go straight to him deal?"

Ian had to admit it felt strange to feel the need not to disappoint a parent despite knowing he already had. He liked Erin's parents and while he would never admit it out loud, he understood why they were skeptic of him. Protective of their daughter. Most parents would be. And like most parents, they underestimated how aware and grounded their daughter were.

"Mom you're going to ruin the make up" Erin jested after the peck, triple checking her reflection before following her mother out and down the stairs, quietly observing her boyfriend. Before breaking into a smile and approaching Ian, a little tease in her tone but never cruel "I think I'm going to have to agree with my mother here, and might I add very handsome."

"See they already have you lured into a false sense of safety!" Erin laughed keeping up the dramatics "The Ashes rule the school Mom, so you much as breath wrong in their direction and you're gone, just like that!" Snapping her fingers to emphasis their point, before reaching over for a darker lipstick that went with her dress better. Glancing briefly at the door when the door bell buzzed, turning around, holding her arms out for Ellie's inspection "My ride is here! How do I look?? Is it too much or??"

"You look beautiful, honey," Ellie assured, giving her daughter a motherly peck on the cheek before ushering her out of the bathroom to go to her boy.

"Now, Erin, I need you to listen to me," her mom said while helping her daughter with the last finishes on her hair. It was prom night and while both her daughter and her boyfriend liked to pretend that it totally wasn't their thing - mother dearest had a feeling at least part of Erin wished to go. "I know the expectations to get laid on prom nights are high, okay? But do not feel like you have to do such a thing just because of social pressure," she assured. Putting down the hairbrush and admiring her beautiful daughter. Luckily, as cautious as they were about Ian, he always did seem to be very kind to Erin so that was always a plus. "If you don't win prom queen, I am going to sue," she joked.

"Well, don't cause too much of a scene," her mom teased. She wasn't too worried, like her father would worry more hearing their daughter saying that. "I assume you mean the Ashes would track you down to make you join them, right? Those girls seem too lovely to do anything bad," she shrugged.

It took awhile before Erin settled down, small sobs still escaping as they trembled in his embrace. Sniffling and curling her fingers in her shirt just listening to his breath and feeling the rise and fall of their chest.

"Hey! I wasn't mean about it, I liked it!" Erica defended catching part of the conversation, holding up a finger and pressing it against her lips telling Pete to shh more or less, when Sam's attention returned to him at first then noticed Cora as well. Choosing that moment to bite her tongue but stayed close.

"So that's my sister," Sam sighed. He knew she had seen pictures of her or even seen her around town maybe, but it was the first time he had really seen his sister in... a real long fucking time. "Let's go somewhere else," he shrugged, not waiting before going into another room in the restaurant.

"It's still fresh so that regret should fade away" Pete teased slightly, tapping the phone on his palm as he tried to think of some else he could call. He knew they could manage with who was on staff but one more couldn't hurt in case Alice decided to be a no show. "So how creative have your friends been with their comments?"

"They haven't been creative at all. Just repetitive. Pretty boy and some shit," he shrugged. Looking up when Erica came over to them. "Even she was mean about it," he joked, accepting the drink she had brought with him. His attention soon turned to a familiar face he didn't really want anything to do with.

Still unaware of Sam's new appearance because she had been avoiding people for the most part again and still bummed out cause the weather had stopped all flights until the next year, Alice was just looking at her reflection in the mirror finding the restaurant uniform a comfy fit. Having agreed to go in later to help out.

As the nightmare progressed Ian's voice just turned into extended whispers following Erin in dark while she tried to find an escape from mangled body following them, when something touched her in the dream she jerked away.

Much like at the hospital, Ian practically crawled across the bed along with her moving away. He ignored the pain from the jab of her elbow into his ribs in favor of hopefully making her fall off the bed not as hard.

"I dunno. A small pepperoni pizza?" he shrugged. They spent the evening together chilling out. Having quite a lovely, quiet night.

Fidgeting a little in discomfort at one point during the night, the curl of Ian's arm offered unconscious comfort as Erin resettled. Unfortunately that peace didn't last for long, as she started dreaming.

Ian slept through most of it, but it was when Erin started to move out of his arms that he slowly woke. Usually he just rolled over and continued sleeping, but something about her movements had tugged him awake instead.

"There's always next time, I'll make a note to bring the dips" Erin assured him because it wasn't the end of the world over a dip.

"So I get to enjoy these all to myself is what you're saying?" Happily taking the chips and holding out a flavour he did like that she had opened before in trade. "Also these go really well with a nacho cheese dip".

"I'm afraid so," he teased, taking the chips she offered to him. "Aw man, I didn't bring a nacho cheese dip," he pouted, looking around for the soft drinks since it was easy to get thirsty of the chips.

Raising a brow a little Erin dropped her head back onto the pillow, just entertaining him with a small laugh, reaching to pat the arm that was over her waist affectionately as her attention returned to the movie "I suppose so"
