The day started out normally. Woke up, got dressed, went to school, went home. But today I felt a little different, a little on edge too. When I got home I put my backpack outside my room and took off my shoes, then I went downstairs to hangout with my brother. It was so normal but abnormally tense. 

I got a call from my step dad telling me that me and my brother could play on the playstation until 6 pm, and that he and mom would be home late. So we played till 6, t’was fun playing Hades. When we were done and when my parents got home I went outside. 

T’was A Shitty Mistake Broski

I was swinging when I got here, minding my business daydreaming. This time I was daydreaming about one of my OC’s discovering a major plot twist in their arc as a cutesy bean. Their still gonna be a bean but now things will be more intense MUAHAHAHAHA I thought to myself.

 I just continued to swing and daydream until I felt something pulling me down, my hands slipped off the swing and I fell. I expected to fall for like two seconds but it lasted longer than that, about forty-five seconds to be exact. I didn’t yell or scream or flail around, sure internally I was panicking but on the outside my eyes were wide, and that was the only way you could tell I was surprised and/or scared.

Whatever I fell through was pretty damn colorful, I saw a lot of red, orange, yellow, and blue basically everywhere, but the colors were closer to gray than the brightness people usually use in pastel drawings and paintings.

I was caught in someone's arms, I looked to see who caught me and immediately regretted it because now I was flustered. It was zagreus from my favorite game Hades.

“Hey are yo-” 

“Eek!” I pushed myself away from him and fell on the ground. Damn I felt my face heat up like bread in an oven. 

“Uhm you good?” he asked

“I- yep- totally fine-” I stuttered, I got up slowly.

My ass hurt like hell, but that’s fine. I looked at my surroundings and felt nervous and embarrassed. In the room I was in a bunch of my favorite characters from shows, movies, video games, online media, and books, but also some I feared. In one corner Will Solace and Nico Di Angelo were talking with Magnus Chase and Alex Fierro. Another corner had Sun Wukong, Macaque, and MK, then there was Killer Sans and Nightmare Sans near them. Thanatos, Hypnos, Hades, and Nyx stood near Zagreus who was basically in the middle of the room.

I started to vibrate so much it was like I was trying to turn invisible like a LEPrecon officer, because I was very hungry and even more nervous. I only had a tiny breakfast early in the morning, like it was only a few bites of a muffin. Nothing else. Then I had friend drama, the usual bullying, and more. So I was really nervous about accidentally ruining my first impression for my favorite people ever. I think Zagreus may have picked up on my nervousness, like me shaking wasn’t obvious. I thought sarcastically.

“There’s no need to be nervous, kid, I’m sure no one will hurt you!” as he said that a knife flew at my face so fast I’m surprised I dodged it.

“Yeah, uhm don’t say that when Nightmare or any of his lackeys are in the same room as you.” I replied, the knife was now on the ground in front of Zagreus, I picked it up and looked at it. Admiring the shine.

“Did you seriously call me a lackey?” Killer asked, he had a devious smile.

“Yes. Because you work for Nightmare. Correct?” I responded with a bland expression.

“He is. The question is how did you know?” Nightmare queried.

“Hard to explain….” I muttered, he made me uneasy. He was the guardian of negativity, so it wasn’t surprising. I knew this place, I had seen it in my dreams a lot so I knew a few of the ways out of this room we were in. There was the painting on the wall, the painting on the ground, behind one of the book shelves, behind the curtains, and if we made a human ladder we could reach the second door balcony. I walked over to the painting on the ground, aware of Killer, Nightmare, and most of the others looking at me. I moved the painting a little bit so I could see a little light from the secret hallway. 

“What are you doing?” Magnus asked, I looked at him. He was looking very confused, so he walked over to me. Everyone looked at me confused. I realized they couldn’t see the light, even though I had moved the painting enough to where it illuminated my face and some of the floor and ceiling.

“I found one of the exits…” I said quietly “Can you not see the light?”

“Light…?” he asked, he pulled out Jack his talking sword.

“Hey Señor, oh hi kid!” Jack greeted me

“Ello! Quick Q, can you see the light?”

“Yeah? Ohhh the others can’t?”

“Yep. I don’t know why though,” 

“Maybe we’re just special?” he suggested

“Me special? Nah bruh just unlucky, you on the other hand Ja. Ja you're special.” I stated
