"A car accident. My parents.. Are they alright?"

"I don't know," she told her, truthfully. The ER was always chaotic, and they frequently divided up patients without a proper handover from the paramedics. "I can find out for you once I've finished here," she assured, as she finished two more, neat stitches.

"Really? Thank you. I would appreciate that."

She responded softly, trying not to move too much while she was working.

"I'll have to learn to live with that then."

She stated simply, scars were the least of her worries at the moment. She took a deep, steadying breath when she heard what she said next. Three more stitches. The wound was worse than she thought..

"How surprising. I've never been a fan of needles."

It was always hard for Kiara to have to treat a patient without using her powers; although she was a gifted doctor regardless of her abilities, it was difficult to restrain herself when she knew she could heal the wound with a little more than gentle press of her palm. But she couldn't risk being discovered; she had no idea how people would respond to her strange magic, and she feared it would not be positive. So, here she was, ever so gently stitching the wound to her new patients face.

"I'm about halfway through," she assured, softly. Although she couldn't risk healing the whole wound just with her powers, she could gently send some of her magic into the tissue, to dull the pain and encourage the new tissue to grow quicker. "What happened?"

"A car accident. My parents.. Are they alright?"
