Piers' j'avo half kept him alive after the explosion at the end of resident evil 6 that caused him to get crushed but after he had gotten crushed his javo half regenerated after he was pulled out of the water by Umbrella and they had taken him in to do experiments on his due to what he was and how he was and Piers suffered major traumatic experiences but he was still willing and able to fight and protect people.

Piers was found at the bottom of the ocean and despite everyone thinking he was dead he wasn't. Although Umbrella had gotten to him before anyone else did.

The only reason Piers survived the way he did was because of his J'avo half which happened to have helped him maintain his life force while at the bottom of the ocean. Although despite half of his body being crushed he managed the regenerate over time once he was rescued.

Piers was used as a lab rat once Umbrella had found him and brought him to their lab. They conducted experiments on him and tortured him with various tools to see what he could and couldn't tolerate.

Piers was then rescued by a team of BSAA agents who took him and brought him back to their base where the BSAA agents weren't as harsh on him as the Umbrella scientists were.

Headcanons: Piers Nivans

Piers is an orphan and he was pretty much raised in an orphanage until he became of age and he went to go and be in the B.S.A.A. after he went through training and all that first though.

I like to assume that Piers had originally been attempting to go into another branch besides the B.S.A.A. at first. But was transferred over there because of his skill set.

Piers obviously has a thing for Chris but he doesn't bring it up because work comes before that type of stuff in his eyes. Although he did feel like saving Chris' life was the least he could do. He couldn't let him die.

Piers was found at the bottom of the ocean by Umbrella. Half of his body was crushed by debris and when they pulled him out it had started regenerating again. Although Umbrella had taken him in and did constant experiments on him.

Umbrella managed to create inhibitors to maintain his condition but they are the only ones that have the means to make it which is why Piers pretty much STOLE all the inhibitors before his escape.

"Agh..AGH.." Piers tried to control the pain but he couldn't control the infection within his body. He was losing himself. He was losing his mind and his sanity. Nothing he tried worked. Self control didn't help nor did the inhibitors. They stopped working over time.

He went to go and give Zeno a hug but the agents wouldn't let him. "He saved my life!" Piers shouted before thinking about what to do. He could get killed for turning against the B.S.A.A. and even then if he wasn't it would have been something almost as bad as being locked in a facility.
