How have I managed to ignore Belle & Sebastian for so long?  I don't know, but after hearing them on The Current I become enamored with them.  Here they are playing "I Want the World to Stop." 

It's Golden Smog! Yep, Gary Louris, Jeff Tweedy and a bunch of other great musicians came together in the 1990s to record several albums.  Here's the video from one of their best songs "V," off of the album Down By the Old Mainstream. 

Bob Dylan. Johnny Cash. What more could you want but a great song? Here it is - "Girl from the North Country."

In the New Pornographers, she's always been overshadowed by Neko Case. However, after a great New Pornographers show on Monday night, I decided to check out some of Kathryn Calder's solo work.  Here's one of my favorite songs she's done, "Turn a Light On."  It's beautiful.

Though it's been a while since I posted on Tumblr, I've been busy listening to a lot of music. One of the most recent finds came courtesy of the kdhxcompilation of live performances. Here's the band Lucius performing "Turn it Around" live on KDHX in 2013.

Day 197. Nighttime along Euclid Avenue in St. Louis' Central West End.

Day 196. The former St. Vincent's Asylum located in Normandy, MO.  It's now affordable housing along the Metrolink. 

Day 195. El Volcan Nightclub, barely located on The Hill in St. Louis. Never been there, but it looks like a lovely establishment.
