This is even more important and beautiful because Brie has been very vocal about doing a lot of her own stunts but these women trained her, doubled for her, helped her build this character, and are part of the group who paved the way for female stunt performers and actresses who do their own. Being a stuntman is often a thankless job even when you’re a dude but when you’re a woman it’s even more looked over. They hardly ever get the recognition they deserve. All the love to these 3 ladies!
No you don’t understand. It’s far more important then this. There has been a surge of deaths among stunt people in recent years. The reason for this is due to the increased demand for stunts and the poor regulations . By inviting them on stage she gives them publicity and with publicity comes power. The power to negotiate for safer conditions for all stunt people. This is an incredible gesture, not just offering her support but giving it in front of tens of millions of people
