Just a character design that I worked on in class today! It's pretty rushed but I think he's a cool dude! The brief was 'Modern Aztec'... so naturally, I drew a man with an Aztec tattoo, covered in the blood of his human sacrifices and invoking the blessing of his gods! Naturally. Bring on the holidays!!

This dude is the product of mucking around in Mudbox this arvo! I think he is going to be a little bit of a hipster beast man… Having fun with all the hairs! I’ve probably spent 2 and a half hours on him collectively which isn’t great but I’m still learning and I did spend at least an hour of it with no mirror effects. It takes longer, but.. I like the outcome a whole heap better. Sooo much hate for his lips though ha! I plan on finishing him up tomorrow so watch this space! :)

For maybe fourth time I've opened Mudbox, I'm pretty proud of this!! :D Sculpted and textured in Mudbox and it only took me the better part of 2 hours this afternoon... Must. Get. Faster! He's called the Bane-lien... kind of a sub human / alien hybrid ha!
