Shattered Futures: Before the Fall
Anakin Skywalker has no idea that the two Force-sensitive researchers the Jedi Council has
assigned to him are actually his future children—the Chancellor of the New Republic and a
Jedi Master—sent back thirty years to change his fate. They know exactly who he is. They
remember the fall, the war, the loss. They've come to save him before Palpatine corrupts the
good man he could have been.
But saving someone who has no idea why you're trying to save him is complicated. Especially
when that someone is 22, dangerously powerful, emotionally unstable, and developing an
uncontrollable attachment to a woman the Council forbids him to love.
In public, they're Henry and Aliana—carefully constructed identities that don't crack. In private,
they're Luke and Leia Skywalker trying to save their father before the time runs out. And their
father is moody, suspicious, and dangerously close to the truth.
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...
Deep in the shifting desert sands, R2-D2 whirs to life, his lens casting a flickering, brilliant blue beam into the twilight. A futuristic hologram sputters into view, dancing above the dunes while C-3PO stands by, meticulously translating the data into the archive logs.
Within the glowing static, the voices of the future echo clearly:
We're researchers," she lied. "Researchers don't dress like that," Anakin countered. "Who are you?" Luke looked at his father and sighed. This is going to be long.
The holographic image flickers violently as the young man in the projection looks at his father, letting out a heavy, exhausted sigh
