Shows that are made just to gently hold your hand as you grow up. Shows that are made to introduce you to the world, give you a little pat on the head and some knowledge, some animal facts, some basic math to share on the playground.

Something about the thought of rooms of writers sitting down and thinking about what lesson to teach kids in the next episode, how do we word this in a way the kids would understand, how should we present this information, makes me warm.

There's just a feeling about them. Like extra care has been put into them, like they are handling the viewer gently. Not patronizingly. But gently. These shows aren't made to scare you or keep you hooked till the next episode, make sure you binge the entire season.

They feel like they would gently wipe your tears away after you scraped your knee, give you a dinosaur bandaid while telling you a cool fact about dinosaurs to cheer you up, then help you back to your friends. They just feel kind. Feel safe.
