you can be a fan of shinee and other artists under sm while still criticizing and not liking or trusting the company. the company doesn’t define the artists nor do the (poor) decisions that sm makes regarding how they hand memorializing him. with the exception of what was done in the month after his passing they haven’t really done anything else. removing him from the vcr is cold, and we haven’t even gotten a clear answer on whether or not he’ll ever get a permanent memorial yet. jonghyun was an artist under their roster for over thirteen years - thirteen years that he put his blood, sweat and tears into. he left high school in order to focus fully on becoming a musician / debuting with shinee. he made them big $$$$ literally up until the week before and this is how they repay him? nah man. no one is asking for a massive tribute or party thrown in his memory, just something small to acknowledge that he was here. he isn’t a taboo. the mention of his name and his image shouldn’t be made into one, nor should he be made into something that was solely sad when he gave so much people so much happiness.

It doesn’t matter how hard you’ve worked for your 500 apples, or that you aren’t the parent of any of those kids. in the moment you decide to walk away, it doesn’t matter why they’re hungry, or who owes who what.

You had the opportunity to help people, you had the ability to help people, you had the resources to help people. You had everything you needed to make a small, tiny little difference in someone’s life, and you decided not to.
