No, really. 

Who would’ve thought it would take a pandemic for me to start writing here again? Nobody saw this coming— not the pandemic, not me drifting away from the things I thought I’d enjoy doing for the rest of my life. It’s unexpected, unnatural. A year and a half has passed since the pandemic broke out across the world but that’s nothing in comparison to the years that passed since parts of me started to break off. It started with a slight chip on my corners, then all so suddenly the surface began to be covered with cracks. There wasn’t much I could do to suppress the rupture. What’s left of me now are fragments of the person I used to be, a little bit of everything but not quite enough to make a whole. 

I think it’s about time you put on a brand new tape.

I like being alone but I never fancied being lonely.  

Happy mornings are usually the ones made up of appreciation and excitement over little things the moment you open your eyes. It's the joy from simple things, like printed word, a short sincere note, the laughter of a child or an effort exerted by someone to make you smile that makes mornings worth waking up to. 

We went for a little stroll around UP Diliman yesterday. I pigged out, as usual. It was my first time inside the campus and I enjoyed exploring the place. Diliman is actually my one of my ideal getaways in the Metro — spacious, filled with lush greenery, architecture that's easy on the eyes. Did I mention that the quarter pounder is only 70.00Php? Yep, I'm definitely going back.
