I will begin writing again tonight. to wake from a too-long hibernation; to find my way back. — I am leaning on this post, and YOU, truly, to hold me accountable. these words are as much for me as they are for you. and I am so glad you’re here.
going to try to put this into practice more often.
Today, I challenge you to say hello and smile at a stranger when standing in line, walking down a hallway, waiting for the elevator, shopping, riding public transit, etc. The routine things we do every day are a perfect platform for this practice.

Sometimes the smallest gesture of kindness creates an enormous wave of impact. When we look away, pretend to be busy, or fumble with our phones, we are losing an opportunity to spark that small but powerful energy called human connection. And we all know how meaningful a smile can feel when we are having a hard day.

Bonus points will be awarded to those who can look at themselves in the mirror and pause to smile, acknowledging the magic of the person staring back ❤️.

Seven years ago, I adopted a little girl who would end up becoming my namesake—a tiny being full of love who unintentionally inspired this project and my connection with you all.
This past week I had to say goodbye to my sweet Pippin; perhaps the most difficult goodbye I have ever experienced. I have been lucky to have many animal friends in my life, but this little girl was by far my most treasured. ❤️
Dear friends, please hold your loved ones a little bit tighter for me. Every day we have with each other is such a precious gift.
