Poetry Dumping Grounds

All so I could get a job

But I wasn't desperate yet

So I followed the rules well

I don’t exist.

I’m sorry but

It’s true.

My atoms formed,

A person,

A parasitic worm.

You call it a brain,

Other’s call it soul.

I call it

Oblivion,

I think

I'm am at the stairs

Leading to the temple

Of our collective dreams.

You couldn't follow me here,

But it's okay.

I will climb to the temple,

Why do you fall?

Don't you know,

They can't fill the hole,

For you to leave

On a journey

Where I couldn't

Follow.

You took a piece of me,

When you went.

I wasn't ready to lose it,

Puppet Body

Moved by

Strings.

Soul observes

The fleshy

Bits.

Out of sight,

The mind reels,

It feels.

We are ghosts,

Dreaming.

Longing,

For the day

Love gave

Us dreams

To thicken

Our skins

So we could

Survive

The chewing

And there she was,

Peeling off her own skin.

Ripping out ancient bones,

Turning them into Icepicks.

Breaking apart fleshy pieces

To reshape her heart.

Only to create shapes

That forms her original

I don’t know what

they could have done

To mend the cracks

That started to break

Under the weight

Of their endless grief.

Who could stop the fraying

When the smallest room

Sometimes I wonder,

What it means to be

A thing that exists only

To ponder

Over the existence

Of millions of things

Rage exists

In my belly.

My belly

holds my soul.

My soul

Collapses

Under the

Weight

Of my wrathful

Devout saint, you are

Dreaming of a god

Who offers you rest

Only when you stop your breath.

You are the

Devout saint of nothing

But of the dirt you walk,

The words you talk

Look past the

gloomy haze

of bygone

days.

Look:

The void.

And bright lights

Of future

Love made

her wild.

That’s what they say.

It just came

And scrambled her brain.

As if it was love

That came

And grabbed her

Pulled her

Into an embrace

Love that comforted

And nurtured on sick

Sick days.

It was love that

Hit her, beat her

Then gave her flowers

The next day.

What’s a woman to do

When a man called love

My hands on the ground;

What happened?

YELLING

my ears are ringing

noise blends into noise

someone screams

GUN!!!

loud fireworks ring out

the ground is bleeding

someone grabs me

drags me.

I saw a dinosaur,

In Central Park last night.

It ate the trash,

Lying on the ground.

I threw it a pathetic fry.

It snatched it with a cry!
