So allow me to tell you guys about this pic π I visited a museum in Toronto and saw this glorious field of purple lavender flowers which are of course my favorite π So immediately I decide it's a perfect place to do a headstand (seeing that I had so recently done my first one). So I flung off my t-shirt for dramatic effect of course and proceeded to begin said headstand π This pic was taken on my first try! I was so excited because I floated up so easily and held it for a while and was even able to come down the proper way. But somewhere along the line my trusty photographer @alex.kalpouzos made a comment saying my feet should've been pointed because it would look better π So of course I started realizing it's true and I that should try to do it over. Needless to say the million times I tried to do it over after this I could NOT get the same control I had the first time because I repeatedly for frustrated and annoyed and kept falling over every time I tried to point my feet π Eventually I gave up and became so depressed that I just couldn't "get it right." Looking back now I can see how easy it is to just want to get a pose right and not care about where your practise is. It was a wake up call for me (after seeing my bruised knee) π so I wanted to share this story - it's not about getting it perfectly, it's about trying and being patient and happy with the success you have, however little it may be! ππ #yogspiration
