The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows

I think we let our experiences and heartbreaks create the illusion that what we have felt so far is all there is out there for us, as if it’s always meant to come crashing down or end with you broken hearted. Yes we hope and dream about true love and spending the rest of your life with someone. But you’ve convinced yourself that your opportunity already happened or they broke you to the point where you tell yourself “I’m never going to be that happy again.” Like NO YOU DONT KNOW THAT! And as if happiness only ever came from loving someone. Yet you don’t know of the guy who has been waiting his whole life to meet you, the one who is going to make you forget your heart was ever broken, the one you’re going to marry and grow old with. YOU JUST DONT KNOW, because someone will come along and make you see why it never worked with anyone else the way it does with him. You’ll spend a lifetime and I can’t promise you eternal happiness but God if I find myself in love again, I’m going to give her unconditional love and make sure she always feels free, that she wakes up knowing how blessed I am, and even after the first five years, on a raining Tuesday I’ll remember how she made me feel the first time we kissed underneath the stars and how when we kiss now it’s still the heaven and her lips are paradise, and when she’s had a rough day at work, I won’t brag about my good day, instead we’ll jump on the bed like we’re 5 year olds and hide underneath the covers as we laugh our trouble aways. ITS OUT THERE. Which is why you don’t settle, you don’t. You go on about your own journey and your own adventures, till you pick up someone along the way and make them a part of them.
