Love Is All You Need

Then I was sent on a gathering mission to collect purple tomatoes from my mom’s neighbor’s yard. I was going to yesterday, but none of the tomatoes looked the appropriate picking color. It’s amazing how in merely a half a day, many of the little veggies/fruities (whatever classification they be) had ripened to seemingly, perfection.

I hopped the fence with ease, and a small red silk bag in pocket for the collection. Upon approaching the plant I saw there were at least ten of them ready to go. So I plucked them, whilst thanking the universe for such awesome gifts.

I returned to my mom’s house, eager to try one. I’ve never had a purple tomato before— well, at least not homegrown.

I popped one in my mouth, and crushed my molars down into its body. A sweet candy-like flavor dove head first into my tongue.

Nothing has ever tasted this good.
