@taylorswift dear Taylor, hi, I’m Niamh, I’m from Ireland (near Dublin!) and I’ve been a fan of yours since I was 8 years old when I heard Love Story for the first time. I’m 17 now, so it’s been almost 10 years, which is mad. I’ve grown up with you & your music. I know you get a million of these a day, so I’m gonna try keep it short. From the pictures you can see from when I was 12 years old (embarrassing af) to now. My first ever concert was the RED tour in eastrutherford, NJ on the 13th of July 2013, when I was 12. That night was magical, and I was lucky enough to attend the RED tour again in February 2014 in London. And also, the 1989 tour in June 2015! And of course, your shows in Dublin for the reputation tour in June. (You slayed the whole game, as usual.) you might’ve seen me on the second night, i was right beside the stage to the right and i was jumping and screaming like crazy (that’s such a bad description I’m so sorry agdkahdj) I’m really gonna try keep this short I’m sorry I’m not really doing a good job ahdjahsk BUT anyway, I just wanna say thank you so much for writing the songs you do, you have no clue how many times I’ve really needed them. I’ve had a really hard time my whole life tbh making friends, even thinking about it makes me wanna cry, because right now I’m going through an especially rough time with feeling alone. I’ve never had a true friend, and I’d really like to know what that’s like, but I don’t know, maybe something is wrong with me, but I always try to hard and always keep your mindset in my mind, to be kind to people. It’s weird, but I think you are the closest, best, truest friend I’ve ever had. I know it’s hard hearing these things from strangers, and I don’t want you to feel sorry for me, I just genuinely want to thank you because you & your music makes me so, so happy. If I’m in a low mood, all I have to do is stick on tied together with a smile, change, mean, the outside, innocent – and I know you know how it feels to feel like you’re invisible or that people don’t like you. Or I can stick On a happy, upbeat song (my favourite is Superman or Speak Now) and I’ll feel instantly better and i forget everything. I’ve grown up with your music helping me in every way and I don’t know what I would’ve done without it. Also I wanna say what a MASTERPIECE come in with the rain is and I love that song with all my heart. Also State of Grace is one of my all time favourites of yours, so thank you for playing it at your rep show (it was last night for me, writing this). I want you to know you have made this world a better place, not only for me, but for your other fans, the charities you donate to, the kids in hospital that you visit, the people you’ve inspired to speak up about their assaults & share their stories, to honestly every person you meet. Everyone says to me it’s “probably not actual Taylor Swift on tumblr, instagram, or twitter” “she doesn’t actually care” etc etc, but I know, and WE all know, you have the biggest + kindest heart ever and you truly want to meet every single one of us and it’s YOU talking to us online.
