Brazil is a developing nation, and a big one at that, the largest and wealthiest of the entire continent its in (south america), its also one of the biggest country's in terms of area, so lots of people, lots of tech coming in for business, lots of english speakers that want what their american counterparts have.

But... A very weak currency, like, prohibitively weak to buy anything in dollar, and media and software are often not price adjusted for purchase power, so buying any piece of game or media online means paying a shit load of money.
