i saw before me, a bright red light, and silently i stood

She felt warm. She opened her eyes, she was bathing in this golden light. She smiled. She tried to grab on to the soft warm light, but it slipped through her fingers like some form of liquid. She closed her eyes again. Taking in the warmth. When she opened her eyes she saw it. The dark. Eating away at the beautiful light. It was closing in on her. Fast. Then the first of the darkness licked her skin. She tried to scream, but there was no sound. The darkness felt as if it was burning her skin but it was cold at the same time. The air became acidic, so it hurt to breathe. It was not long before the darkness filled her every pore, until there was only nothingness left.
