some things to help your anxiety now that cb is in the high stakes finale arc:
you're not dumb if you believed a character who lied, that just means you read the story as intended and punko's storytelling is working
it's fine if you're mad/sad/nervous. you're supposed to feel those things while reading the story because punko wrote it to be immersive and exciting.
things look bad now but we can still look forward to a happy ending! the story needs conflict to happen, and the higher the stakes are the more satisfying the resolution will be.
take a break if you need to. you're in charge of your reading experience and you don't have to force yourself to read something that upsets you. you can always come back to it later when you're feeling better.
the bad guys who do creepy evil things are doing them to drive the plot forward. if nobody did anything wrong there would be no conflict and no story.
pay attention to the way the heroes react to the source of conflict. if they think the villains' actions are wrong, it's a good indicator that the author also thinks those things are wrong.
you can take a minute to calm down and process what you just read before opening tumblr or discord. sometimes the chaos of everyone reacting to the new episode at once makes it hard for you to figure out your own feelings.
remember we're all reading this story for fun and engaging in the fandom because we want to share that experience.
the fandom will still be here after the story ends, whenever it ends.
