A Reasonable Li'l Mug

“Oh gosh, I’m sorry,” Mugsy squeaked out softly, putting his hands up over his mouth sheepishly. “I didn’t know you were bothered by loud noises...”

“…..I don’t know why….. BUT I HAVE DA SUDDEN STRONG URGE TA PUNCH MUGMAN IN DA FACE.”

“Wh-What did I do wrong…?!”

“I don’t know. Probably nothin’. I’m just expressin’ that I have a strong desire ta punch you specifically in da face. I won’t though.”

“But why do you wanna punch me in the first place??” Mugsy cried, looking like he was about to burst into tears.

“I don’t know but I won’t punch ya, please don’t cry.” Cuphead promised his little brother.

“Y-Ya won’t punch me…? Promise?” Mugsy sniffled, eyes still rather wet with the threat of tears.

“Promise. Please don’t cry. Have I ever punched ya before?” He pointed out.

“Well…no,” Mugsy admitted, rubbing the back of his neck.

“See? So ya got nothin’ ta worry about. Can I get a hug off ya?”

The blue brother smiled a bit and stepped forward to hug his brother.

Cuphead wrapped his brother into a tight hug. He wouldn’t announce his desires to punch anymore. He’d just punch from then on.

And (hopefully) this meant Mugsy was still off-limits for punching. He just happily snuggled up against his brother, still hugging him.

“…..I don’t know why….. BUT I HAVE DA SUDDEN STRONG URGE TA PUNCH MUGMAN IN DA FACE.”

“Wh-What did I do wrong…?!”

“I don’t know. Probably nothin’. I’m just expressin’ that I have a strong desire ta punch you specifically in da face. I won’t though.”

“But why do you wanna punch me in the first place??” Mugsy cried, looking like he was about to burst into tears.

“I don’t know but I won’t punch ya, please don’t cry.” Cuphead promised his little brother.
