The filming of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2" was scheduled for April, but I recently saw Will Arnett filming some scenes for the movie in a basketball game between the LA Clippers and the NY Knicks.

It has been confirmed that NBA players: DeAndre Jordan, JJ Redick, Matt Barnes, Austin Rivers and Spencer Hawes appear in the sequel. And Reddick just confirmed in a podcast that the title of the film is "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Half Shell".

Sequels and spin-offs of "Transformers" are prepared

Despite not being the favorite of critics, the saga of "Transformers" is proving very lucrative, with his last two deliveries achieved a revenue of over one billion dollars worldwide. For this reason, Paramount Pictures has decided to expand their universe with many sequels and spin-offs.

Deadline reports that the studio has hired Akiva Goldsman to work with director Michael Bay, executive producer Steven Spielberg and producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura in the organization of a "writers' room" to generate ideas for future films.

Although Goldsman's Oscar-winning screenwriter of "A Beautiful Mind" and many other films, it seems not participate in creating these scripts. Instead, he is responsible for choosing the writers and monitor these write movies.

AMC has been working on a spin-off of "The Walking Dead" that will discuss the details that "The Walking Dead" does not explain, like the way the infection began and why.

And now, before issuing the final chapter of the season of "The Walking Dead", the series creator Robert Kirkman, has announced the title of the spin-off. "IT'S OFFICIAL! The sister of The Walking Dead series was called FEAR THE WALKING DEAD!" Wrote in Twitter.

Alexander Joseph "Lex" Luthor is a fictional supervillain who appears in American comic books published by DC Comics. Luthor is a wealthy, power-mad business magnate, one of the most intelligent beings in the DC Universe, and has incredible technological prowess. Lex Luthor's goals typically center on killing Superman, the foremost obstacle to achieving the villain's megalomaniacalgoals. Despite periodically wearing a powered exoskeleton, Luthor has traditionally lacked superpowers or a dual identity. Lex Luthor has carefully crafted his public persona in order to avoid suspicion and arrest. Lex Luthor typically appears in comic books and other media as a business magnate with a bald head. Vincent D’Onofrio is in talks to play the villain in MGM and Sony’s “Magnificent Seven” remake starring Denzel Washington.

Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke are also on board to star with Antoine Fuqua directing.

Sony and MGM are splitting the cost evenly with Sony distributing the pic. MGM will oversee production.

The 1960 film, itself a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s “Seven Samurai,” starred Yul Brynner and Steve McQueen. It centered on seven gunslingers who protect an oppressed Mexican village from a group of outlaws.

The script was most recently reworked by John Lee Hancock after “True Detective” creator Nic Pizzolatto wrote the previous draft.

Production is expected to start within the next month as Fuqua assembles the remaining cast.

No stranger to playing the villain, D’Onofrio can next be seen as the antagonist in Universal’s “Jurassic World” and as Marvel Comics bad guy Kingpin in Netflix’s “Daredevil” series. He was most recently seen in the Warner Bros.’ Liam Neeson thriller “Run All Night.”

Animated offering Home is taking off at the Friday box office, putting it on course to beat R-rated comedy Get Hard, starring Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart.

It's still early, but first returns show the music-infused family title grossing north of $40 million for the weekend in a needed win for Jeffrey Katzenberg's DreamWorks Animation. Some even believe Home, benefiting from some kids being on spring break, could approach $50 million, the best showing for an original DWA title since Megamind in 2010 ($46 million). For now, insiders are suggesting a hearty $44 million.

The voice cast includes Rihanna in her first turn in an animated film, Jim Parsons, Jennifer Lopez and Steve Martin (expect lots of singing from Rihanna and Lopez). Home follows the adventures of a teenage girl on the run and a misfit alien.

Home, costing $130 million to make, got off to an outstanding start last weekend internationally, grossing $20.1 million from only 10 markets, including a $9.1 million debut in the U.K.

Outside of How to Train Your Dragon 2, DWA suffered a dismal 2014. The animation studio announced in February that it took a $57.1 million writedown on Penguins of Madagascar and Mr. Peabody and Sherman, which opened to $32.2 million in spring 2014 (Peabody had solid legs in the U.S., but didn't travel well overseas). DWA has said it intends to raise money by selling its Glendale campus for $185 million, then leasing back the space.

Get Hard is looking to open in the mid-$30 million range, a pleasing start considering the film cost $40 million to make. The comedy marks the feature directorial debut of Etan Cohen.

Get Hard stars Ferrell as a wealthy businessman who thinks he's going to jail for tax evasion, so he hires a car washer to teach him how to survive being in prison for 10 years. Alison Brie,Edwina Findley and Craig T. Nelson also star.

Heading into the weekend, both films were tipped to gross in the mid-$30 million range, but Homeis exceeding expectations.
