Project: The Mosquito Song

Half in the Bag the movie plot, let’s talk about it. The scheme to end all schemes to REALLY get all of Plinkett’s money this time, but this is really just a backdrop for a gripping character drama between Mike and Jay of HitB. There is one inexplicably homoerotic scene that is not commented on ever again. The point of it all is that the world is brought to the brink of doom during their scheme, which thematically coincides with the big Falling Out. The end is a lot like Gorilla Interrupted, where Mike and Jay’s unstoppable friendship power saves the world. Rich the repairman has to be there too, and mayhaps Mack from corporate if I may be so bold.

Okay I’ve thought a little more about it. The general plot is like. Starts with them drinking themselves blind, they get to reminiscing about how long they’ve been at this scamming business and they’re like Damn….if we don’t pull of the big one soon Plinkett’s gonna DIE before we can get his money! (Plinkett’s immortality is not canon in this timeline I guess idk who cares) However, neither of them wants to admit that they’re afraid to finish the scam, because then they have no reason to stay being buddies…This mutual reluctance that goes unexplained hurts them both because they’re both compensating outwards by acting very into the scam. Maybe the big falling out point is that one of them sabotages the scam. And the scam involved black magic or satan or something so the sabotages kicks off the end of the world accidentally, and they have to work together to break the spell. That’s all I got.
