Hi, my name's Iva and I'm a 20 yo girl. I love music, so expect me to share a lot of that here. I'm a bit of a swiftie as well. Would love to dive more into gaming - currently i'm just playing Sims and Hay Day. I occasionally watch tv shows - might get obssesed and start rant about some. I like fashion, hair(styling), tech and life tips & tricks, food, animals... so yeah, a bit of everything (including some random thoughts ofc).

I hosted my first listening party in my apartment with my girls - we danced, sang, cried, laughed and had the best time vibing to this album.

But now, I'm about to listen to it for the second time so I'm going to write down some of my thoughts as I go through the album. Feel free to let me know your thoughts as well 🫶

The Fate of Ophelia - What a banger of an opener!! It's funky, it has this disco feel that makes my ass shake. This is peak Taylor melody, I meaaannnn, it's catchy and the replay value is insane. The single SINGLED for sure.

Elizabeth Taylor - ANOTHER BANGER, 10/10, the heavy bass drop is chefs kiss, I love the bridge melody and what a top notch production. The rep vibe here is strong. So cunty, hot and luxurious.

Opalite - Cruising on roller skates, wind is in my hair and happiness and love is in the air. Uuu bars! My friend said that it sounds like christmas and YES, so joyful, fun, earwormy, super ABBA coded. I loved the whole vibe!

Father Figure - 100% about getting her masters back, Scott and just how gross and manipulative so many people in the music industry are. I love how the first part is from his pov and then she flips it, feels so satisfying with that key change and when she changes the perspective!! She's The Man.

Eldest Daughter - I genuinely love this one! Ughh It wreckes me cause I can relate. Gorgeous song, beautiful melody, instrumentals and the bridge... this bridge is one of the most beautiful she has ever written. Oh my god, I'm tearing up just thinking about it now. Anyway, track 5 for me? Track fived. And then the next one...

Ruin The Friendship - literally ruins me, but I love it so much! I mean, the drums and bass had no business to be this funky for this sad ass song. I had great time dancing and then she hit me with hundred bricks. You know what it is? It's YBWM with a sad ending... Life is just so incredibly short and tragedy can hit you at any time.

Actually Romantic - It's not my fave, but I can get in that mood sometimes, 100%. It's so unhinged and petty. I'm cackling. I feel out of loop here, I know there's so much I'm missing, it just might about fans hating, but if it is a Charli diss, I'm sure they'll work it out on a remix.

Wi$h Li$t - I heard Glitch straight away. Some of the parts in this song itch my brain soo good. So fun, I'm really happy for my personal friend Taylor.

Wood - Jackson 5 entered the chat. YES. DRUMS. BACKING VOCALS. THE FUNK. THE KNOCKS. THIS IS WHAT I WANTED. BANGGGER. WOW. Lately I've been really subscribing to horny d bops because this one's elite and goes so hard! Everyone say thank you Travis.

CANCELLED! - PERIODDD. This one is also very reputation. Love the chorus. When it hits? YES, give it to me twice. And her vocals?! M'am I'm floored. She sounds SO GOOD. Another thing, I clocked the wicked references immediately and I need the edit now.

Honey - LOOOOOVEEEEE. Everything, from the lyrics to the production. "my forever night stand" awww, I'm cheesing so much. This song is stupidly catchy and cute. She's so happy and down bad lover girl fr.

The Life of a Showgirl ft. our girlie, Sabrina! - This is a perfect closer, it's like the end credits of a great movie. Sabrina really elevated this song. The last part when they're on stage gives me goosebumps. We're back at the eras tour... I'm crying, this album was so well done.

1st live show of scd was this past weekend so let me dump my thoughts here:

✨ First and foremost, CLARKEY!! Why is he actually so good? I did not expect that at all, but boy smashed it. Hands down, the prettiest dance of the night. And Alexis. I was rooting for her since dwts days. but they fumbled her, so I'm super happy she's joining the strictly fam. (the superior show). I might be bias, but it's them for the win.

✨ Lewis and Katya, my god. Yeah maybe a little too flashy, but I was very entertained through and through. I love being surprised, especially week one, so might as well throw everything in right? Katya's literally one of the best choreographers so in her, I trust.

✨ Karen and Carlos, excuse me? They killed it. The footwork, like cmon! Carlos went with a routine with full on energy and she delivered like it was not week one but week Blackpool. I'm sorry, I'm just amazed. Top of the leaderboard, well deserved!

✨ Amber was fantastic. I knew she would do great, but given how little time she had to prepare, she executed this beautifully. Mind you, she did that with 48h notice, imagine how she will be with a full week! Yay for Nikita who can show off his amazing choreo (and himself)

✨ La Voix, I already love her so badly. She's so funny and unserious. She smashed it as well. It just made me so happy to see her dance, and her dad with the proud badge 🥹 Fingers cross for Aljaz in drag.

A month late, but never too late. Let's finish the album review with the deluxe tracks.

15 minutes - First of all, the gag I spit out at the chorus, lol. Second, this is certified BOP. Her talking about her 15 minutes of fame, added with the classic Sabrina humor is soo fun. What a start to the deluxe.

Please please please (feat. Dolly Parton) - I'm not against countryfying the song, but it just did not click for me. It was not fitted for Dolly's voice. Tbh I think this is a bucket list thing for Sabrina and it probably means a lot to her. But they could've executed this much better.

Couldn't make it any harder - Guys, when I read the title track... it went the complete opposite direction. It's beautiful and relatable, ouch. Also, she sounds so good on this one. The pipes on this girl.

Busy woman - Oh I already knew this one so I was shaking. It's a hit for a reason.

Bad reviews - This eats. It's gorgeous. I love the instrumentals so much. The last minute does something to me. Actually the whole song is perfection. She needs to make a country album.

Call Me When You Break Up by Selena Gomez, benny blanco & Gracie Abrams - I actually like it. Is it groundbreaking? No. But it makes me do a little happy dance, lol. The chorus repetition makes it easy to remember, but... Why is the song so short?! Like give me a punchy bridge. My absolute favourite part is Gracie's verse - she has some really fun moments in there.

Scared Of Loving You by Selena Gomez, benny blanco - Aww, love gets me man. Not particularly memorable and quite bland (also it ended quite abruptly) but it's really cute and very fitting for the vday last week. I'm just too single for this sugary sweet.

ExtraL by JENNIE & Doechii - This song is so badass (I'm not one but one can dream haha). I'm here for Doechii and she DELIVERED. Her entrance gave me goosebumps. I won't listen to the song day to day, but I'm adding it to the bad b anthems.

Too Much by Dove Cameron - My bestie said it's giving Lady Gaga and that's all I'm hearing. Honestly, I'm not really a fan of it. It feels inauthentic, which is a shame.

Praying for Your Downfall by Jensen McRae - Girl knows how to write a song. This is beautiful, catchy and the lyricism is strong. She just makes me feel the song.

I never know most of the celebrities they announce. But it's fun going in not knowing them and then they end up being my faves. I know Tasha from LI and I know she's a dancer, so I'm excited for her and her dances. I've seen Jamie before, he did the Christmas special last year and he was really good (well he won it lol). And Chris seems like a funny, charming guy based of his tweets 😅 There are 9 men and 6 women, I'm quite bumped about that ngl...

So happy that Amy feels good enough to come back. I have a feeling Johannes will be benched, which hopefully I’m hella wrong about🤞

The pairings I’m initially excited to see are Chandler (!!) and Brandon, Dwight and Daniella and Stephen and Rylee.

I need Brandon to not go for the 7th place again iykyk. Dwight/Dani feels like a Iman 2.0. And I just know Stephen from this one tiktok clip of one of his routine he did at the Olympics which I was obssesed with.

I’m rooting for my fellow vietnamese girlie Jenn after the shitshow she had been through. Also yes to Ezra being a pro this season! But I’m just now learning that his first ever partner is a felon?! Well, we’ll see how this goes.

Talking about lyrics, I love her writing style, the wordplay, some of the lyrics make me gag and giggle, they're so unhinged, but honest, which I LOVE.

Here are some of my first thoughts for each song that I wrote down:

Taste - This is so chefs kiss. Such a good opener! AHH I'm so hyped!!

Please please please - My favourite single, it's fun to sing, the lyrics are a lol, I love her cheekiness, the opening and floating synths are addicting

Good graces - A R&brina?!! Yep, it is and it is a bop. The guitar line is special. Love the repeating I won't gaf about you. This song should and will stay in my good graces.

Sharpest tool - It's a good song, I was definitely vibing, don't know how I feel about the vocal effect, feels quite unsettling, but hey, maybe I don't get the vision, I like the lyrics though

Coincidence - Woah, the guitar goes crazy. I can totally imagine Sabrina and her team in the studio, having a music sesh talking about this dummy, 'cause this bridge said whaaaattt. i feel so bad for her

Bed chem - First 10 secs I'm already shivering, reminded me of some 90s song. SABRINA! The flow, the beat, the runs, the humour, the horny AHJVBAEVB You obssesed? I'M obssesed!

Espresso - Now get up, THE song of the summer (might be record of the year...)

Okayy pinterest, now this is my vibe. There's a lot of nature and peacefulness, which is so accurate to me. I moved to a big city almost a year ago, but whenever I'm visiting my parents house or I'm back strolling around in nature, it just hits different now (in a best way).

One thing that I'm kind of not sure about is the sunrise pic. I'm more of a sunset girlie. But you know what, I'll take it. Both are beautiful.

I saw a comment and it basically said that the songs are too repetitive, which is fair enough and a very valid opinion. Even I don't vibe with some of these songs because of it.

But the repetition in the outro in this song makes sense. Actually, I look forward to THAT part.

When she says in the bridge "we could both calm down" and Gracie and the tempo calm down?! That's just so satisfying to me. And then she repeats the down just to remind herself to do so. Ugh.

As I try to navigate my life in my freshly twenties, the topics of "dating, boyfriend, marriage, kids" are being discussed in my close circle of people. They always were tbf but as I get older it's more serious and therefore there's social pressure.

Let me firstly state, everyone's SO different and it's not a one size fits all advice, but I'll say...

You are only in your 20s once and you need to do whatever makes you happy and if it starts to making you unhappy and you've tried your best to fix it, let it go, Elsa. If it's meant to be it will come back. If it doesn't come back it wasn't for you.

And don't ignore "little things" just because it's easier to stay or "you think you can work on it". Especially if you express to them this and that is important to you, yet it never changes.

I'm a silent sucker for good synths and beats, glitchiness, distorted and use of high-pitched vocals. That's what hyperpop, EDM, someone might even say club classics kind of music gives me and I live by it.

This latest Charli album BRAT is timeless and different in a best way. I appreciate how much she experiences with new sounds. I feel like this is her. Already from the singles, I felt the confidence just oozing out of her. The record it's super unique and fun, but vulnerable and human at the same time.

Like for example, I love and relate to Talk talk so much. The song just casually described a certain point in my life in under 3 minutes. And it's a bop as well? I can only stan.

Charli and her team really did a superb job. This is a well-rounded album. If I'll ever feel like dancing and wanting to boost up my energy, these are the songs I'll be hitting:

Since I've been MIA here (oops), there's been so many good releases. I've been listening to music nonstop and as usual, you'll be the first to know my thoughts about my recent music listens.

It has been a week since Gracie's new album, so I think I'm ready to form my opinion on the record.

I think it's such a huge step up from her debut. Don't get me wrong, Good riddance was decent. I actually quite liked the album. But even for me who likes sad bops, I can only take so many ballads on any given record. So yeah, I would've hoped that there would've been a tad bit more diversity in the album.

With The Secret Of Us though... I'm happy to hear a few more up-tempo and fun tracks on this one and they're goood. The two singles, Risk and Close To You? Immediate standouts of the album.

She's got one feature and that's from mother herself, Taylor. Even though she's mostly doing background vocals, I can hear Taylor's songwriting all over the song and the melodies are also very reminiscent of her. Especially the bridge is so Taylor-esque. That woman just knows how to write a damn bridge. It might be my favorite bridge off the album.

Tracks 9-11 are the weak spots for me as they blend together a lot. But she ends the album strong.

I'm just rooting for her man. I discovered her back in 2020 in covid times. Her whole EP minor was one my favorite projects back then. I hope one day she can pick up and attract the attention of the general public.
