Bruce Wayne. Playboy. Philanthropist. Socialite. Gotham’s golden boy. The gothic prince. The perfect public figure.
Of course he’d be invited to join Dancing With the Stars. But Bruce? He always refused. Leaving Gotham unprotected was never in his plans. The producers were beyond frustrated—they wanted Wayne on their show, but he always said no.
And then someone reminded them… Bruce Wayne has kids.
All eyes turned to Dick Grayson.
Dick had done a bit of modeling, was always loud and charming at Wayne galas—and god, there were actual videos of him swinging off chandeliers at those parties. That alone was enough to qualify him as a “star” for the show.
They called Dick.
Dick said yes immediately.
When Dick was announced in the cast, Gotham’s social media exploded. The boy with the brightest smile in the city, now in sequined ballroom costumes? Instant sensation.
At first, Bruce seemed against the idea. But on premiere night, there he was, in the live audience with Jason, Tim, Cass, Damian, Duke, and Alfred—watching Dick absolutely nail his first jive.
After that, the family supported him from home, posting tweets and updates cheering him on.
Stephanie took it upon herself to repost every TikTok edit she could find.
Tim? He secretly became the president of Dick Grayson’s fan club, fighting Booster Gold stans online every chance he got (because of course Booster was also in the season).
Bruce himself even gave reporters full, public support for Dick.
Damian may or may not have had a shirt made with a picture of Dick wearing a hideous, bright green, low-cut disco ballroom costume with a message of support for Dick and posted a picutre on the family Instagram account that Stephanie insisted they do.
Dick crushed it all season long and made it to the finals. He didn’t win, but he got second place—and honestly? Everyone was thrilled. Dick was proud of himself, and the family was proud of him.
A year later, though, Gotham collectively lost its mind when Jason was announced as a contestant.
He placed fifth. And Dick never let him live it down.
Now the entire Batfamily has an ongoing bet about who’s going to be the next one invited on the show—and if they’ll manage to beat Dick’s record.
