The Princeâs Diaries // by DearMyDreamer
Pairing: Merthur Rating: T Word Count:Â 17,064
Summary:Â
Merlin had gone through his entire life thinking that he was invisible, but then his grandfather showed up and told him he was a prince.
That wouldâve been enough, really, but getting âPrince Lessonsâ from Arthur Pendragon, Prince of Wales, was a bit too much for Merlin to handle.
Written for TheMerlinArtsFest2015, Week3.
Prompts used: Video. Audio. Ignite.
themerlinartsfest2015 â week 3. song prompt: Greek Fire â Top of the world.
Lyric: On top of the world Iâm trying to feel invincible.Â
Merlin and Arthur are out to stop Morgana and her dragons from taking over Camelot. They are both fighting bravely alone when they should be together using brawn, brains and magic together.Â
Only together will they be able to conquer the evil magician Moragana and her devious dragons.Â
Hopefully soon, Merlin can return to just being plain old Merlin. (Or is he Snow White? Just donât tell Morgana, heâs the fairest of them all!)
It was Gwaineâs damn idea to go to Glastonbury that year. It was also Gwaineâs damn idea to take his beat up, shit excuse for a car to get them from London to Glastonbury.

Merlin Arts Fest - Week Two Word: Light
watercolor, acrylic, and ink
So basically Iâve had this theory that because Arthur was born of magic he has some magical talent that he didnât realize he had. Whenever Merlin uses magic he feels sort of weird and at first he just assumes itâs because of Merlin. After a while Merlin discovers that within Arthur there is some strong magic and together they help Arthur to release it after having been repressed for so long. One of the first thing Arthurâs magic does is make a lily [because for some reason I associate his mother with lilies????].
Week 2 - June 22nd - June 27th  prompt:  âWell,â they whispered, glancing around in worry, âthis might be a problem.â
UH-OH! Merlinâs got a dragon and Arthur looks upset that thereâs a dragonlord in his midst! I hope they can fix this!
The Merlin Arts Fest 2015 - Week 2
* Title: Not My Cup of Tea
* Author: Owlwithafringe x x and WitchoftheWaste x x
* Length: 2311 words
* Rating: General Audience
* Pairing: Merlin/Arthur
* Summary: Having a cup of tea out with friends could never be simple, especially when those friends happen to Merlin, Arthur, Morgana and Gwen.Â
But when two of them happen to be tea snobs, itâs hard to keep your calm, especially when there are so many delicate little sandwiches everywhere, just asking to be thrown in their faces.
* Prompt(s) Used: The three words prompt.
Heaven Looks A Lot Like You // by DearMyDreamer
Pairing: Merthur Rating: Mature Word Count: 9,917
Summary:
When Arthur was little, he kissed a neighborhood boy on the mouth in repayment for a gobstopper, and it was just like a fairytale happy ending right up until the boyâs fist clocked Arthur on the side of his jaw.
And that was how, at ten years old, Arthur became the boy that other boysâ mothers didnât want them to play with.

Their tent filters in sticky, humid air.
Gwen arranges herself to a lean against one of the wooden pillars, hands clasping delicately around it, barely fitting the girth, as she watches her Court Sorceress.
Hair wild and tangled, braided with tattered, violet-dyed ribbons, Morgana pores over what appears to be scribbles. Indecipherable text to Gwenâs eyesâarchaic symbols and blotted, inked letters that swim before her eyes. Or it could possibly be exhaustion. No one in their company has slept.
âShouldnât you be resting, milady,â comes a murmur into Gwenâs hearing and she blinks.
Morganaâs lips quirk, as if she has plucked the thought straight from the hovering space above the Queenâs head.
âPerhaps,â Gwen says, unmoved. âBut someone has to mind you.â

inspired by this prompt and the firefly marathon I just finished.Â
âSome vacation,â Arthur muttered, staring out at the rain pouring down from the artificial sky. The station had boasted about its new state-of-the-art weather system with bright slogans and banners and peppy commercials that the entire crew had rolled their eyes at, but nevertheless theyâd been impressed. So of course, within a day of checking into their rooms the system had broken, dumping down heaps of rain that couldnât be stopped no matter what the engineering team tried. Reports of floods were starting to come in from other sections. âWe shouldâve just gone to a resort planet.â

Donât Mess With The Flowers
A Perwaine Tinkerbell AU fic. :D I used the colour prompt for Percivals outfit, the rest kinda took life on its own :/
This is my entry for #themerlinartsfest collab week. I wrote the fic and the-doctorsadvocate will be posting some artwork :P
If one were to look at Percival, at first glance youâd mistake him for a guard or tinker fairy. What with his rippling muscles and very muscular arms, not to mention being the tallest fairy in Pixie Hollow. But look closely and youâll see his tunic made from two large, pink rose petals with two pomegranate seeds for buttons, and his pants made from two pink Calla lilies. For you see, Percival was, surprisingly in fact, a garden fairy.
Not only that, he is a true rare talent among the other garden fairies, being the first to ever control the sprinting thistles.
It was no surprise to find him out in the meadow practicing his talent, especially since it was an exceptionally lovely day. âAlright my little sproutlings, time to come out of your shells,â said Percival, raising his hand. Pixie dust sparkled at his fingertips before a collection of stems burst forth from the soil. Percy smiled happily as he looked at the freshly grown daffodils towering above him.
He flew up to inspect the petals just as a strong gust of air blew him back, breaking most of the petals and littering the ground around him. âGwaine!!!â he yelled lifting a yellow petal off his head âAchoo!â he sniffled, rubbing his nose with his finger.
âAww are we allergic to a little pollen, eh Daisy-top?â Gwaine smirked, âI think itâs a bit ironic for a garden fairy to have allergies, donât you?â
âThe only thing Iâm allergic to, is narcissistic jerks who make it their sole mission to ruin other peopleâs work,â Percival huffed, making the ruined flowers retreat back into the soil. The only upside to Gwaineâs daily torment, was that at least the ruined flowers could be used as compost.
âOh come now, Daisy-top, youâll hurt my feelings with that kind of talk,â said Gwaine, raising his hand to his chest in mock offense.
âIf it gets you to leave me alone, then consider it my intention,â Percy scowled, waving his hand over the soil to produce a lovely bloom of Aster.
âWell then, Iâll take my leave,â said Gwaine, flying into the air, but not before a small twister engulfed the flowers, leaving the stems twisted and wrangled together after it dissipated. âSee you tomorrow, Daisy-top,â he chuckled in the distance.
Percivalâs anger flared, looking at the poor flowers. He was startled to feel something poke into his back, turning around to find a collection of thorny vines creeping forth from the ground. He breathed deeply, exhaling slowly to calm himself, before guiding the vines into the air to twist and meld together.
âFrom great emotion, beauty will spawn in the most surprising ways,â
Percival looked behind him to find Merlin sitting calmly on a moss covered rock, admiring the large tree he had grown. Its leaves rustling gently in the breeze. âHi, Merls,â
âYou shouldnât let him get you down? Gwaineâs just being Gwaine,â Merlin reassured, his large blue wings, a mix between a Monarch butterfly and a dragonfly, flittering gracefully as he flew closer.
âI know, but I never see him bother the others the way he does with me,â
âWell he doesnât do it to everyone, thatâs true, but he does torment the people he cares about,â Merlin smiled, seeing Percivalâs wings perk up with his realisation.
âYou mean Gwaine⌠likes me?â said Percival, his left brow quirked.
âMore than just like, if you ask me. All the destruction his winds cause you, shows he wants you to notice him,â
âBut why? If heâd just talk to me heâd know that I noticed him from the start,â Percival paused, looking at Merlin while a blush spread across his cheeks. The other pixie just smiled knowingly.
âWell, you could always tell him how you feel,â
âOh no, heâs going to suffer a little payback before I let any of his past antics slide,â
Merlin just shook his head, grinning widely. âWell, Iâd better get going. Arthur wants to show me his ideas for a new training regime for the guard fairies, then I have to head to Tinkerâs Nook to hear what Gwen and Elyan have invented to help with Summer preparations,â
âThen I shanât keep you, your Highness,â said Percival, giving a low bow.
âYou know I donât like being addressed that way, Percy,â Merlin blushed.
âAs you wish, my liege,â Percival teased.

âI hate collecting pollen⌠bloody stuff gets everywhere⌠makes bees follow me aroundâŚâ Gwaine grumbled to himself, maintaining a small whirlwind he hovered over the blooming flowers. He let it disperse into a string of tiny air currents which each flew into waiting pollen pots on the ground.
âThere all done!â he exclaimed, looking proudly at the filled pots. A slight rustling within the sunflower field caught his attention. He squinted his eyes with a frown, flying closer to investigate. âWhoâs there?â There was another rustle before Percival emerged from the field, startling Gwaine who let out a yelp.
âWell well, donât we scare easy now?â Percival smirked.
âOh itâs just you, Daisy-top,â said Gwaine, turning to collect the lids for the pollen pots, âWhat brings you here on this boringly lovely day?â
âYou know, Gwaine, I never did get an apology from you for the other day,â Percival said without looking at Gwaine, calmly walking to the side.
âApology? What for? I was just having a bit of fun, thatâs all,â
âSince you put it that way, I take it you wonât mind if I have a bit fun too then?â Percival said with a mischievous grin.
âWhat are you on abo-â before Gwaine could finish, Percival whistled loudly. Seconds later the ground started rumbling just as a dozen or so sprinting thistles ran towards the fast flying fairy. Gwaine yelled and screamed, running in mid-air as he tried to fly away, succeeding in getting his arse pricked by the pointy weeds.
âPayback is a real pain in the arse, eh Gwaine?â Percival laughed, hearing Gwain yell in the distance. He noticed the pollen pots scattered across the ground, their golden contents covering most of the soil. He made to leave, only to have his guilty conscience battle it out with him and win as he sighed heavily and collected the pots.
With them all gathered together, he grew a few flowers and had them bend down and sprinkle their pollen into the pots. âDonât ever say I didnât do anything for you,â he said, placing the lids on the pots before flying away. His little prank was fun, but heâd better make sure the thistles didnât cause any other trouble.

âHold still!â
âOuch!! I would be able to oblige if- SHIT!- you didnât press so- YOUCH!- hard,â
âOh stop being such a big baby, Iâm barely touching you,â said Lancelot, gently applying some salve to Gwaineâs posterior. âHonestly, Gwaine, why didnât you go see Merlin or Morgana?â
âAs if I would ask one of the Kings of Pixie Hollow to help relieve the stinging burn from my arse. And Morgana would never let me live it down if I went to her for help,â Gwaine muffled through his pillow.
âMerlin doesnât mind helping out friends in need, and the fact is tending to the sick and injured is Morganaâs talent. Iâm an animal fairy, not a healer,â
âYet you have a pot of anti-sting ointment,â Gwaine huffed.
âBaby animals are curious, they get hurt too,â Lancelot shrugged.
âI swear Percival is going to pay for this,â Gwaine growled. âOUCH! Watch it,â he yelled when Lancelot pressed the salve onto the one wound harder than necessary.
âI canât believe you, Gwaine!â Lancelot yelled poking another tender spot on the fast flying fairyâs arse.
âOW! What was that for?â Gwaine flinched.
âYou spend your days tormenting him, destroying his flowers with your winds. Percival is the most powerful garden fairy in Pixie Hollow, you can be glad sending the Thistles to give you a good poking,â Lance emphasised by pressing hard on one of the wounds, âwas all he did. Because you may not recall, but he is the first garden fairy in history who is able to control those weeds,â
âWell he still-â
âOh save it, will you? When are you going to stop being such a hard-arse and tell him how you really feel?â
âWhat makes you think that I like, Daisy-top in the first place?â
âYouâre going for the deny approach? Very well then, Iâm all done patching you up,â said Lancelot, slapping Gwaineâs pert butt cheek.
âOuch,â Gwaine replied, pulling his pants up.
âNow if youâll excuse me, I have a date with a certain tinker fairy down at Tinkerâs Nook,â said Lancelote, while packing away the salve and bandages.
âEwe, too much info there, Lance old pal,â said Gwaine as he headed for the door. âThanks for tending to the old toosh, mate. Enjoy your romantic evening,â
âYou could have it too, yâknow, if you werenât so stubborn,â Lance added, before he heard the door shut.

Percival spent the day near the stream, growing Snowdrops, Water Lilies and carnations. He had just finished making an array of different coloured Pansies bloom when he felt a light breeze against his back. âWhat do you want, Gwaine? Come to ruin my work as usual?â he said, reaching into a pouch he had tied to his waist.
âPerish the thought, Daisy-top, I merely wanted to drop by to see how my favourite garden fairy was doing,â Gwaine smirked.
âWell Iâm doing well, now you can go do whatever it is you fast flyers do and let me get back to my work,â Percy said cautiously, watching nervously as Gwaine floated towards the Pansies.
âOh come now, I enjoy admiring your flowers. These Pansies look especially pretty. Wonder if they smell as nice as they look,â he said, bending down and inhaling deeply. âOh- oh no the pollen itâs making me-â
âDonât even dare!â
âACHOO!â Gwaine let loose a torrent of air, blowing every petal off of the delicate flowers. âOops,â Gwaine said before taking off.
âOh no you donât,â said Percival, his hands glowing gold with magic as he flung a small seed at Gwaine. As it made contact with him, thin vines sprung free from the confines of the seed.
âWhat the-â Gwaine started, as he tried pulling free of the creeping vines which were snaking all around him. He started to panic when he felt his wings being entangled in the thin green snares. He yelled as he started plummeting towards the ground, the vines having wrapped his limbs and wings within a tight cocoon.
âPercy, please Iâm sorry!â Gwaine yelled, shutting his eyes tightly when he saw the ground rapidly approach. He waited for the impact, cracking an eye open just a smidge to find himself dangling a few inches above the grass. He looked down or in his case, up, to see another couple of vines holding him firmly by his feet.
âAhemâ
Gwaine turned his head to find Percival flittering beside him, the garden fairy waving his hand to wrap the vines further around his body and pull him upright. They stared at each other, Percivalâs face a bright shade of red with anger and Gwaine gulping nervously.
âListen, Percy, Iâm-â he was cut off by Percival cupping his chin and angrily smashing their lips together. His surprise melted away as he found himself return the passionate lip-lock.
âI like you too, you pillock,â said Percival, after breaking the kiss. The vestiges of his anger melting away to leave a slight pink tinge on his cheeks. âSo now that we have established we like one another, would you like to come over for dinner at my place tonight?â
Gwaine just stared at him before nodding dumbly. âMarvellous! And since I have your attention, would you please refrain from destroying any more of my work from now on?â
âS-sure thing Dais- I mean, Percy,â Gwaine smiled sheepishly.
âWonderful,â said Percy, giving Gwaine another peck on the lips before snapping his fingers, letting the vines drop Gwaine on the ground with a thud. âSee you tonight, Gwaine,â Percival smiled seductively over his shoulder.
âWhat a man!â Gwaine muttered to himself in a love dazed state, before taking off with a slight skip in his flight pattern.
âThat was sweet,â Gwen giggled high up on the branch of an oak.
âItâs about bloody time, Iâd say,â Lance added, pulling Gwen closer.
âHopefully this will help dampen Gwaineâs destructive tendencies,â said Leon.
âOooh I hope so, he always blows away Leonâs mist when we try to make rainbows,â Freya added, playing with a stray beam of sunlight.
âOi whatâs going on here?â said Arthur, his red and gold dragonfly wings flittering steadily as he surveyed the group.
âOh Arthur you missed quite the spectacle,â said Merlin, beaming at his husband.
âWhy? What happened?â he asked, snaking his arms around Merlin.
âLetâs just say that, when it comes to Percival, you donât mess with his flowers. And on a sidenote, Pixie Hollow gained a new pair of lovers,â Merlin smiled, pecking Arthur on the lips.
