The McLisse Connection

It all started with a teaser: 2 ex-celebrity housemates are coming back inside the PBB house for a big revelation. 😲

Our minds went blank for a second. 

Was it McLisse? The blurred clips looked familiar! McLisse? But Why??? What are they going to reveal? Fans and non-fans came up with a lot of speculations. Are they finally engaged? Married? It's been a while since we last felt this way.

Nakakakaba. 

Grrrrr. As expected, PBB did a lot of stretching. The pabitin also made its comeback. PBB kept on playing the teaser and continued to tease the viewers gap after gap. Thanks, Toni. Their turn finally came. Toni had an interesting spiel dedicated to McCoy and Elisse. WHY??? Her special spiel made just for them made us feel more anxious. We realized that something was really up.

This wasn't a random visit. This was something else.

McCoy and Elisse graced Kuya's confession room again after four years. This time, as a real life couple. The kumustahan portion was just a prelude to their big revelation. They mentioned their new business and for a moment, we thought that they entered just to promote it. Hihi. But it took a turn when the conversation finally led to the couple's real reason why they wanted to visit Kuya.

McCoy dropped the question...

and our jaws dropped too.

"Kuya, pwede po ba namin kayong gawing ninong... sa anak namin?"

They were smiling. They weren't talking about a new pet here, right? Anak? How? Did they really mean it like... for real?

Kuya asked further. "Ninong? Anak?"

"Kuya uhmm, kami po ni McCoy, meron po kaming isang napakaganda at napakabait na... baby girl.” Elisse replied.

We were suddenly lost for words. Elisse already gave answers to Kuya but new questions just kept on popping inside our heads. So they're pregnant? They're expecting? Is there a real baby? We were trying to connect the dots. We tried so hard to stay calm. McLisse brainrot.

It slowly sank in that they were talking about a real "baby" here. Elisse even said that she would let Kuya have a glimpse of their daughter. Raise your hands if you were also expecting for a sonogram! Geez. Elisse showed a picture frame!!!

The baby is real. OMG. THEY WERE SERIOUS. Wait. Uhh, I— McCoy and Elisse are parents now. It’s not a drill. They already have a daughter.

IT'S REAL. SHE'S REAL. 😭😭😭

And just like that, our fandom welcomed the biggest McLisse shipper in the whole wide world, Felize McKenzie.

We can stare at her face for a long time. Her gaze, her smile and her overall presence radiate indescribable joy and comfort. It's like coming home after a long and tough battle or receiving the greatest reward. The rainbow after the rain. A beautiful affirmation that we did well and it was all worth it.

McLisse fans are still in high spirits. Our ship's name holds more meaning now that McCoy and Elisse are blessed with the real "McLisse" in human form. Living. Breathing. Growing. Their own child, Felize. NAKAKAIYAK PO TALAGA, OPO. 😭

She's the living embodiment of everything we've ever dreamed and prayed for McLisse. Back then, we had so many dreams for them as a love team. We cried when they had to part ways. We used to sulk over missed opportunities and broken promises in the past but looking at Felize, we finally understood why those things had to happen to McLisse. God works according to His plan. She's the answer to all our prayers. He knows what would really make our OTP feel fulfilled. We held on tight as He was preparing them for their most important and most challenging roles ever... as PARENTS.

It won't be easy but we know that they will go through everything together as first time parents. Their hearts have always been full of love and they're also surrounded by a lot of good and loving people. They got this!

McCoy and Elisse have been giving hope and inspiration to many since they got back together. The waves of happiness have reached even the non-fans and shippers from other fandoms. It's overwhelming to see how fans from other fandoms look up to them for being courageous and faithful to each other. Their new bundle of joy truly got both fans and non-fans hopeful and fascinated.

Honestly, everything still feels like a dream to us. McCoy and Elisse getting back together already felt like a win for us. Pero may dumating pang mas malaki. It just feels better when everything in your life is properly aligned, including your ride or die ship. There's peace and harmony. The future looks bright again.

We didn't even have an inkling that the heavens would reward them for all their bravery and sacrifices a little sooner. Revelation after revelation. The heavens sent a little angel to this world to make McLisse's future even brighter. Brighter than all our daydreams and fangirl wishes.

They were given someth—SOMEONE who would lead them to their real purpose. Someone who would give them more reasons to fight and to live well. Someone who would remind them how beautiful this life is. Someone who would give them a strong sense of fulfillment that money and trophies couldn't give. Someone who would remind them that they made the right decision to fight for their one great love. Someone who's destined to be their biggest shipper who would always root for them as best parents in her own McLisse universe.

McLisse's recent vlog (A Day in My Life) is such a timely reminder for people who are still seeking purpose in life and for those who are scared to take a big leap into the unknown. Elisse said she was scared but after a few months... she finally met Felize. A brave soul. Our hugot babe is now a mother.

There's a saying that if you can't beat fear, do it scared. Just do it. The fandom had been in a scary situation before. But McLisse made it out. Now even the ghosts of the past can't bring us down. We did it scared. We stayed because it made us feel more alive.

The pandemic opened our eyes and our hearts to a lot of things. It's a fact that with or without pandemic, the world will just keep on spinning.

[God wants us to live with purpose. If believing in McLisse endgame was one of them, then we can say that we already achieved one. The fan in you is the happiest right now. Embrace this happiness to get you moving amidst the chaos. Trust yourself more and manifest a healthier relationship with your friends, classmates, co-workers, significant other, family members and most especially, with yourself.]

Eventually all things fall into place.

Today is going to be a good day and here’s why... Today we’re celebrating our 5th anniversary as a fandom and we’re also celebrating McLisse, not as a “love team” but as an OTP (One True Pairing) which continuously inspires us to celebrate ourselves and our uniqueness.

Throwbacks are a bit old-fashioned, aren’t they? We often look back to see how far we’ve come but for now, kindly allow this letter to stop you from doing that. Let’s not look back. Let’s move forward. Let’s move forward with McLisse. Let’s move forward with ourselves.

Anyway, have you seen Elisse’s IG post? Most of us fell in love with her song choice. It’s impossible not to. Ben&Ben’s “Araw-Araw” has that rich, deep and lovely message which easily connects to anyone’s heart of hearts. The short video is full of joy, hope, trust, and anticipation. It’s simply... Mahiwaga. We felt everything that we could possibly feel as fans who stood by them for the past five years. But we also felt that rush and freedom as fans who have grown so much over the years. We’ve become so deeply rooted in this fandom and now, it just feels so good to reap all the fruits of our passion, patience and faith.

How about McCoy’s latest vlog? Have you seen it? McCoy really knows how to make his video titles intriguing enough to keep us hooked. His video didn’t just highlight the uniqueness of a certain object or a person. It also reminded us of independence. We’ve been reminded that having the courage to stand alone can also make you stand out. After all, being alone doesn’t equate to being lonely. McCoy and Elisse moved heaven and earth in order to achieve the freedom and independence that they have now. Their courage pushed them to discover their uniqueness, as individuals and as a couple. Our McLisse hearts can sleep peacefully at night knowing that she’s the only one for him. His one and only. After all these years, it still warms our hearts how the two of them consistently keep each other grounded. McCoy’s newest vlog conveyed a strong message to our fandom. Every frame spoke to us and convinced us that they’re really not that “love team” anymore. They no longer conform to the management's rules and network’s standards. They’re a team which stands on their own now, rehearsing for life’s best dances, working things out together to be prepared for the next sequences and turning points in their lives and acting on their own dreams for the future that they’re building together. McLisse has always been our only one and it will stay that way for the rest of our fangirling lives.

Now, let this letter speak to you in a more personal way. If you’ve been a McLisse fan since 2016 or early 2017, you might have seen how fans walked through the exits and entrances of the fandom. It was not easy to see your co-fans losing hope and leaving for good. But it has always been a pleasure to encounter new usernames and welcome newbies. You’ve seen the best view from the top of of the Ferris wheel and you’ve also experienced how it was like to be stuck at the bottom. You’ve witnessed the reconstruction of walls, restoration of lights and rebirth of hope in our fandom. You’ve witnessed how the trees shed their leaves and how the leaves changed their colors. Most importantly, you’ve seen how the flowers began to bloom again. 

The fandom had experience a lot of dramatic breakdowns and over-the-top celebrations. You know deep inside that you aren’t staying all because of “kilig.” It's beyond that. The devotion you have for McLisse is truly exceptional. But when was the last time you fangirled about yourself and your personal milestones? Remember that you are your own person. Remind yourself that you can be so much more than what you are now. You have all the reasons to look forward to the new chapters of your life just like McCoy and Elisse. Don't hold back. Level up, be your own celebrity and devote more time for yourself.

Everyone moves at their own pace. You can stay in this fandom for as long as you want. But you know that you can’t always make other people stay. McLisse inspired us to see the beauty of letting go–letting go to make way for what we truly deserve and what's meant for us. You don’t have to feel guilty if you want to put yourself first. You don’t have to blame yourself if you feel like you’ve already outgrown the fangirling lifestyle. If McCoy and Elisse can align their priorities, so can you. You don’t have to feel bad if you feel like you want to grow somewhere else. It could be in a new fandom, a new field of interest or a literal place located in a map. Don’t be pressured by the status quo. Be YOUnique. You can go ahead and explore the world, be in love with someone or yourself first, you can log out from your social media accounts to detach and detox for the better. It's okay if you feel like the something's fading. Trust your gut. No one should ever question your loyalty and love for McLisse.

Once a McLisse fan, always a McLisse fan. McLisse will stay with you anyway, always in all ways.

There’s no room for guilt, regrets and grudges in this fandom. The fandom didn't raise manipulators and gatekeepers. Nothing or no one should stop anyone from walking away or even coming back. You can allow yourself to grow outside of this fandom. Natatangi ka. You can be happy and successful like McLisse. You can also choose yourself, araw-araw.

What's going on??? Over the past two years, the Earth got hotter, the plants grew taller, your pets grew up, someone you know got engaged or got married, some of you graduated from school and started a new job or a new business venture, reached a new milestone and some of you also joined a new fandom. How many books have you read? Did you learn how to cook? Did you transfer to an unfamiliar city or traveled to a different country? Were you able to maximize your talents, skills and productivity? Hopefully, yes. Hopefully, you were able to discover more about yourselves, just like McCoy and Elisse.

A ship on a yacht? Is that even possible? With McLisse, it is. A yacht— not too big, not too small, private and romantic. McLisse likes to keep it that way.

The photo reminds us of an unforgettable chapter in a Wattpad novel. It's like a lovely scene from a romantic movie. At first look, it seems too good to be true but once it sinks in, you'll go from "It's too good be true" to "It's so good and it's so true." Its caption gave us all the feels since McCoy used one of the fandom's most treasured words, ALWAYS. "ALL WAYS" added more depth to it. Joy, peace, warmth and security are written all over their faces. The post conveys an extraordinary feeling of freedom, a sense of contentment and infinite bliss.

The recent events, losses, madness in the government (grrrrr!) and the global pandemic somehow became our wake-up call and encouraged us to be more expressive, thoughtful and proactive. The pandemic also taught us to take a good care of ourselves and our loved ones. We only have one life to live so we should stop all our doubts and fears from getting the best of us. We should let happiness in. Right here, right now.

Yes. A good news dropped in the middle of a pandemic. It immediately became a symbol of hope for many of us who are slowly being eaten up by skepticism, animosity and hopelessness. We suddenly have a special reminder that things can get better in time. McCoy didn't just post to give a hint that his heart is at peace. He literally shared his joy to us. Every "finally" we encounter in the comment section stresses that they had been holding it in for the longest time.

The comment section is full of good vibes. Their celebrity friends, co-actors, the staffs they've worked with and the bloggers who consistently root for them couldn't help but express their happiness upon seeing the photo. Anyone could tell that they're genuinely happy for McLisse. The crying emojis, red hearts and words "SA WAKAS" and "FINALLY" definitely made a strong statement.

OUR STORY

It's no secret that McCoy had worked on several movie projects with new love interests and he even started a new business venture while Elisse landed as one of the leads in an afternoon TV series. She also got busy with her business.

McLisseians still expressed their support even in their solo projects. Every one clinged to hope and pride was set aside. We wanted them to feel that we are not just here for "kilig." As McLisseians, we knew that a part of us would always root for them even if they already stopped rooting for us. It was painful to hear them talking about us in past tense but we knew back then that deep down in our hearts, our love for them will always be stronger than our ego as shippers. We couldn't lecture them about love. The heart has a mind of its own. We could only check on them from afar and hope that they would be happy with whomever they'd end up with. It even came to a point where we had to let go and let God.

The super loyal, persistent and ever generous McLisseians continued to see the good in every opportunity. We completely understood that every opportunity they received would help them gain more knowledge and experience. Maturity took over. Each one of us learned to focus on the bright side of life with the vision that their new setup would benefit both of them. They would surely come out as better actors in the industry.

McCoy's post got many people saying "Sana all" but to be honest, McLisseians also had our own "Sana all" moments. We had so many what ifs in our list. McLisse's journey as a love team was quite short compared to others. We had to deal with multiple rejections, cancelled guestings/tours and media play during movie promotions. We got to see them acting with different partners and live with the thought that they aren't each other's first on-screen kiss. HEHE AT LEAST, MAY REAL-LIFE KISS. Ch0ur not ch0ur. Every shipper's dream is to collect many firsts and create more memories with his/her ship. Bittersweet, that's how we call it. McLisse had their own record of life-changing firsts but let's not forget that McLisseians had the privilege (Privilege!? Let's think positive. HAHAHAHA) to experience both reel and real pain earlier than the usual. The unimaginable transition and all the intentional shunning also disheartened us at one point. Sana ganito, sana ganyan. Sana maging okay na sila. Sana po mapagbigyan. It was a never-ending struggle of staying positive in the midst of chaos.

Their love team was slowly dissolved. They broke up and eventually got linked to different people. Right there and then, we knew that we had to know our place as shippers. In our hearts, we firmly believed that we could still make a difference.

McLisseians transformed into prayer warriors who fervently prayed for peace and reconciliation every single day. It was hard to see everything falling apart. We had to endure all the sudden changes, disturbing articles and heartbreaking announcements. We lost both reel and real, we had nothing to hold on to except one another, our faith and our belief that one day, they'll be able to face each other again with a smile.

2020. We started the year full of hope and it's safe to say that McLisseians had been waiting for this moment to come. McCoy kept on saying in his past interviews that they wanted to build a strong foundation first before hinting or confirming anything so we had to go along with it. It came naturally. Our GCs were filled with scoops and rumors. Some people had seen them going out again. We were ecstatic but our first instinct was to protect them. Wag mo ipost!!! Bawal! Ang kulit! Eh pero nasa FB na rin eh!?! Admin oh!!! Hayaan na natin sila, low-key muna tayo. 😂

We used to have petty fights over those things. We prayed a lot for things to get better but we never thought that "better" would mean McCoy and Elisse taking a risk and finally choosing each other again. Honestly, we were okay with them being friends after everything that happened but apparently, they're not okay with that. HAHAHAHAHUHU.

We were infuriated by some nasty articles and insensitive people. The world tested our patience. At times, we would think "McLisse, umamin na nga kayo please. Daming mema, mga kuwento na nakakainis at nakakagigil." It was really disappointing how some people took advantage of their situation. They even assumed that the two didn't reconnect at all. We patiently waited for interviews and other venues where they can freely express themselves. Nacancel TWBA dahil sa lockdown!? May interview? May digital presscon? Sana maghint na sila o magbigay kahit konting clue. McLisseians were hopeful at the very least.

(I had to keep all the excitement to myself. I respected their decision to stay in private so I just waited for a concrete proof/a fearless move from either one of them. And McCoy... Grabe. McCoy's post just blew my mind.)

McLisse is friends with every fandom. It's also nice to see other fandom appreciating our loyalty and our efforts. They would often commend us for sticking with McCoy and Elisse even if they had to part ways as on-screen partners. McLisse's recent update has become every fandom's glimmer of hope.

McCoy and Elisse were apart for quite a while. They went out with other people but eventually found their way back to each other. Love is indeed a verb. It's something that you keep on doing. You show up. You fight. You stay. McCoy and Elisse were able to get to know themselves more. They were able to realize the value of each other more than ever. McLisse will have more days together than the days they spent apart. Maaabot na nilang muli ang kanilang mga pangarap nang magkasama. *sobs*

The future isn't as scary as it seems. Optimism has found its way to us. We just know that we trust McCoy and Elisse so much. All the heartaches in the past inspired all of us to be indestructible. Tough times turned our fandom into one of the toughest fandoms out there. Their CHOICE put back all the pieces together. Mareng Kyla's prophecy was too powerful. Love really led them back to us.

“Hindi mo na kailangan pang malaman…”

Hindi na nga ba? Kailangan ninyo malaman ‘to, McLisse!!! Sasabog na mga puso namin kung hindi man lang kami umamin sa inyo. Game na!

“ Hindi mo ba alam? Damdamin ko'y pinagtakpan, makasama ka'y suntok sa buwan...”

Ang daming once in a blue moon na nangyari sa McLisse fandom. Ang dami rin “first time” na naranasan ng mga tards. Tuwing maiisip mo yun, mapapangiti ka talaga. Bawat ipon, bawat ganap, bawat sermon ng nanay mo “McLisse na naman!?” bawat pagpupuyat makaboto lang para ipanalo sila sa mga polls at awards online, bawat copy-paste ng hashtags, bawat mall shows na hindi mo hinindian at bawat basher na nakasagutan mo, hinding-hindi mo makakalimutan.

Naalala niyo ba noong mga panahong ang hinihintay lang natin ay isang MCLISSE selfie? Halos mapuyat ang lahat kahihintay. Naalala niyo ba kung paano tumalon ang puso natin sa kauna-unahang tour nila bilang official loveteam? Naalala mo ba kung gaano kalaki ang ngiti mo noong unang dalaw nila sa Dreamscape office? Naki-McLisse heart ka rin ba? Naalala mo ba yung kilig mo sa unang music video nila na magkasama? Eh yung kaba mo sa paglabas ng unang-una nilang endorsement sa TV? Ilang McSpicy ang naubos mo!!? Naalala niyo ba ang bawat Twitter serye at IG serye na hindi natin pinalampas? Ilang edit at delete moments ang hindi nakalampas sa mga mahusay mag-screenshot at team soco. Sinong makakalimot sa mga pa-emojis ni McCoy na tanging ginamit para kay Elisse? Mga Star Magic Ball na pinagsamahan? Eh yung mga TV projects nila? Hindi minadali. Lahat nirequest, hinintay at pinagdasal. Magazine covers na inabangan at McLisse album na sobrang ipinagpasalamat! Ang kulet lang natin noon di ba? Ang daming nakakatuwang dares na nagkakatotoo. Ang daming tapang na pinakawalan para mailayag ang #McLisse. Hindi tayo umatras. Minahal natin ang bawat “possibilities” at “uncertainties.” Sumayaw tayo sa sarili nating musika. Kahit nagmukha tayong weird noong umpisa at naging weirder pa habang tumatagal dahil nagpapakatotoo lang tayo tulad nina McCoy at Elisse.

“Pagkagising ko sa piling mo, masaya na ako parang laging Pasko.”

Parang laging Pasko sa McLisse fandom. Pula kasi ang fandom color ng McLisse. Lahat game na game magsuot ng Pula tuwing may ganap. Parang pag walang nakapula sa live shows, parang may kulang. Naalala niyo ba yung unang-unang ganap ng McLisse sa Araneta? Isang malaking event na hindi pinalampas ng Team Ganap. Lahat sobrang proud itaas ang mga placards na tatak McLisse. Lahat masaya para sa McLisse na masuwerteng napasama sa squad ni Cardo.

Kahit hindi Pasko, parang laging may pa-simbang gabi ang mga prayer warriors ng fandom na ‘to. Wala naman kasi tayong ibang panlaban sa mga delubyo kundi dasal lang talaga. Na-stress na nga si Google sa atin kakahanap ng saktong quotes para sa McLisse tuwing may pinagdadaanan sila. Pag nagkabati naman ulit, sobra-sobra naman ang pasabog, daig pa ang pa-fireworks tuwing bagong taon. Sarap balikan ng mga ganung moments noh? Yung pakiramdam mo parang… Pasko lang. Hindi maalis ang ngiti sa iyong labi at umaapaw ang galak sa puso mo.

“Ibalik ako sa nakaraan, noong di pa iniwan.”

“Ikaw, kamusta ka?”

Okay naman kami. Syempre….. charot lang. 

Mga casual viewers nga wasak na wasak sa mga interviews nila, kami pa kaya? Ganyan katotoo ang McLisse. Sobrang masakit? Kasi sobra rin yung pagmamahal. Ilang ulit kami nadurog. Ang dami na umalis, nagpalit ng username, nagkampihan, nang-iwan at nagpalitan ng hindi kanais-nais na mga salita pero may ilan pa rin na lumaban dahil may ipinaglalaban pa. Kung alam lang ng mga non-fans kung gaano kahirap maging matatag sa mga panahong pakiramdam namin na wala na kaming kakampi. Pakiramdam namin, nagkulang kami. Pakiramdam namin, hindi kami sapat. Nadurog kami sa bawat social media posts na hindi namin inasahan. Masakit sa damdamin. MMK vibes, baks. Napatanong din kami “Ano na ang nangyari sa pangakong iaaangat natin ang isa’t-isa?” Masakit isipin na hindi nagawang kumapit ng ilan sa pangarap na pinanghahawakan ng fandom mula noong umpisa.(Hep!!! Bawal umiyak!)

Maraming pinagdaanan sina McCoy at Elisse pero sa kabila sa lahat ng ito, may mga nagpaiwan pa rin sa gitna. Salamat sa mga nanatili sa gitna at patuloy na nagmahal na walang hinihinging kapalit. Kamusta kami ngayon? Ahh Ito…. nagpapakatatag para kina Pol at Laya. Alam namin na kailangan nila kami at kailangan din namin sila para mas maging matapang pa sa mga susunod na araw. 😊

SAKALING MAGING TAYO. Launching movie. Ang lupet ng launching movie nila, baks! Sa mga nangyayari ngayon, akala mo may pelikula pa sa labas ng pelikula. Kami ang nasa front row! Hindi namin makakalimutan ang Black carpet premiere ng Sakaling Maging Tayo. Maraming pamilyar na mukha noong gabing yun. Nakakaiyak makita ang mga taong minsan mong nakasabay mangarap para sa McLisse pero tinatanaw mo na lang sa malayo at lalo naman nakakaiyak makita ang mga taong nanatili para sa kanila. *pigil luha*

Ang mga Kireeee, ayun sabay-sabay sumigaw, tumili, naki-yiheee, tumawa at ngumiti kasama ng mga bida sa pelikula. Nakakabaliw yung gabi na yun. Bilang isang McLisse fan, hindi mo alam kung anong emosyon ba ang una mong mararamdaman. Pero noong lumabas na yung “PG (MTRCB)” sa umpisa, SURREAL!!!! Naramdaman na namin agad na matatalo ng saya ang kalungkutan. Iba sa pakiramdam! Nakakakilabot pa rin kung iisipin. Parang nananaginip ang lahat. Proud na proud na proud na proud kami sa bawat eksena nila. Wala na yata kumukurap eh. Hindi makapaniwala na ayan na sa harapan namin yung matagal nating hinintay ng pelikula. Paano namin nakayanan yun? Ayun, kinailangan namin maging matapang para hindi kami unahan ng luha. Basta ang alam lang namin, lumabas kami sa sinehan na nakangiti at sobrang masaya dahil sa napanood namin. PBB feels. Natural na batuhan ng linya at titigan. Parang bumalik nga ang lahat sa umpisa. Siguro nga, nasaktan ang lahat sa nangyari kina McCoy at Elisse pero ibinalik nina Pol at Laya ang pag-asa sa puso ng bawat isa.

“Maaga natapos? Masaya naman?”

Maaga ba natapos, McLisse? Gusto pa sana namin kayo makita sa isang teleserye eh. Yung masasabi natin na, atin talaga. Gusto pa namin kayo mapanood sa Wansa na magkasama (3 years na kami nagrrequest! Record-breaking! Cheret!) Gusto pa sana namin na marami pa kayong pagsamahan na magazine shoots at marami pang marating na lugar dito sa Pilipinas at ibang bansa. Boys & Gals, remember when Kuya effortlessly dragged us back home to his house again early this year? Ohnoes. Our dark circles came back and trip to ubusan ng load started all over again but come on, no one would dare say that their comeback was pointless. LET's GO DREAM TEAM, LET's GO! Nostalgic, isn't it? We thought we're already done with reality TV stuff but when McCoy and Elisse returned inside Kuya's house, kirehan officially resumed and they got everyone singing O Pag-ibig again.

Everything felt familiar as if they never left.  Kuya aka Manager must've missed them big time like how most viewers did. 2017 welcomed us with a lot of pivotal points, major revelations and memorable moments. M-C-E-J-D, Cheerdance task, McCoy's birthday, Titig ng Pag-ibig, Kim x Alec, Disneyland adventure, workshops, breakdowns and of course, THE LONG & TIGHT HUG. Yes, McLisse, you know we won't be able to forget these moments until we're 85, right? The months have passed by so quickly, can you believe we're almost done with 2017? Elisse's birthday is just around the corner but here we are still squealing about the blindfolded big PINK bear!

So, we got the Tuloy Pa Rin TVC Part 2. We also got the FULL version of the hit jingle, Tuloy Pa Rin. Waaaaaaah! Crazy, right? The McSpicy TVC last year was just an ice breaker. A bonggang appetizer. McDo gave us the sequel we've imagined and it came straight to us without any warning.

Kaya niya, Kaya mo. The slogan was too powerful to be overlooked. #Relate Kinaya nila, kinaya natin!

R - ecording artists!

HOT & FRESH. The McLisse Album is still a hot topic these days. Have you ever find yourself staring at the ceiling, thinking deeply about how lucky Mc & Lisse are for recording an album they can fully call their own? As in... MCLISSE Album. Loveteams don't usually appear in album covers unless it's for a soundtrack album but there goes McLisse, making waves through an album that is headlined by the two of them.

Thank you Star Music. Thank you isn't enough, really. McLisse album is really one of the FIRSTs that we will never ever forget. Christmas is here, you better wrap an album for a friend and save a lonely heart this season!

I - SANG TAON NG PAGMAMAHALAN.

IT. HAPPENED. THIS. YEAR. Will we ever get over our first year anniversary? No, never. The color Red triggers a lot of priceless memories and one of them is the McLisse Royal Gathering that still gives chills to us whenever we see photos and videos from the said event. Everything that happened during that one magical night definitely found a special place in our hearts.

The event became a “part” of us that haters can't take away. It will always be a favorite song that we will never ever get tired of repeating. It's the part of the movie that we will always appreciate, pause and rewind. It will always be that part of the book that will remind us of our favorite persons in the world, not McCoy and Elisse but... Marc Carlos and Maria Chriselle.

S - weet Somethings!

The Lord continues to make us all humble and here we are, not realizing that humility have already become our second nature. He is guiding us to the right path. Hard work can bring success but what truly makes you a successful person is your undying faith in Him if the going gets hard. 

McLisse got the Most Promising Loveteam Award this year, PEP also awarded them as Breakout Stars and they also got other special awards that were enough to get us all clapping instead of bragging. McCoy and Elisse also starred on their first ever MMK. McCoy landed a lead role on the hit indie film Instalado. McLisse also got a Mangaserye: Vloggergirl Problems which is a certified best-seller. Both of them also got new endorsement deals this year.

Blue Roses took the spotlight away from the usual and cliché, Red roses. Sunflowers found the loveliest sunshine of all as McLisse found them. The fanmily will not forget how McCoy & Team McLisse showered the whole activity area with Red Balloons. It was another OMG moment, proving to be one of the most unkabogable ball proposals of 2017. Of course, McCoy and Elisse attended the annual Star Magic Ball together with genuine smiles not only in their faces, but also in their hearts.

Squeaaaaaaaaaaal! Star Cinema Awards also awarded MCLISSE as Ultimate Loveteam of the Year.

Wow! What a year! This is the fruit of all our hard work, fam! We stayed faithful. Everyone remained focused on the goal which was to win the award we've all been dying to have. Remember those trying times? Those gloomy days had to come for us to be more motivated and divert our attention in voting instead of weeping. Hands down to Team Puyat and online committee for leading the SCA voting party up to the last minute. This is just the beginning, fam. The “ultimate” adventure is just about to start for a better & stronger McLisse fandom!

T - he Good Son

Obet and Sabina. The Good Son is getting more exciting just like BetIna's storyline! We genuinely...... like it!

Guys, Kapit lang. We won't deny that we tune in to get more kilig scenes. We already ate a lot of hopias several times but we're still holding on to our faith that one day, moreee kilig scenes will come for us! Obet and Sabina are getting closer now. We can feel that the attraction is there, the connection is there and we know that a good storytelling is the only thing that can keep this OTP alive. So, cheer up! Eventually, the murder case will be solved and all the OTPs will get the endings they deserve, that for sure.

M - aking MEGA in Turkey!!!

TurKeyLig. Now, that's one for the the books. Can you believe it? McLisse's unforgettable trip to Turkey also happened this year! Oh wow, this fact still shakes us every now and then. Our hearts still jump everytime we stare at their lovely photos in the pages of MEGA magazine. We still get our cheeks flushed everytime we watch their romantic documentary.

McLisse fanmily have worked hard to turn this dream into reality. McCoy and Elisse have worked hard to make reality seem like a beautiful dream-- making every moment count, making everything magical and surreal to the point that we find ourselves wanting to slap our faces to convince us that reality is here and it is what you made it and for continuously living the most realistic dream of all--- achieving great things with the fandom.

A - ng Panday

Haneeeep! From JP x Lorraine to Caloy x Rowena! Thank you Ninong Coco! This is another milestone for McLisse. Ang Panday is their very film together as a pair and it made the cut! It is one of the MMFF entries that will grace our cinemas this Christmas season! Are we ready to see the Kiligan (Tatak McLisse) on the BIG screen? BIG, literally. Just the thought of seeing them together acting with Primetime King, Coco Martin makes us all hyped up!

Fam! The MMFF entries this year are all promising. Let's support our movie industry and spread nice words through our social media accounts. Ang Panday takes on a modern twist that millenials should appreciate and learn from. Of course, Ang Panday is the first film on our list!!! Good luck to all MFFF films!

How soon is SOON? Uhmm..... 2018!

OMAAAYGAAAAAAAAD. IS THIS FOR REAL? MCLISSE WILL FINALLY HAVE A SOLO MOVIE TOGETHER? THEY WILL TAKE ON LEAD ROLES, THEY WILL SHOOT FOR IT SOON AND WE'LL GET CRAY CRAY AGAIN.

Last December 7, (yeppp, don't you just love it when McLisse blessings drop on the 7th of the month, because yeah..... monthsary!) Film director, JP Habac posted something on his twitter account and the next thing we knew, we were thanking all the gods and heavens for a new blessing.

A NEW MOVIE. #McLisse sa 2018.

Have you watched JP Habac's “I'm Drunk, I Love You”? Well, if you haven't, then you better do! AS IN, PLEASE GIVE IT A TRY. McCoy and Elisse, or should we say Pol and Laya will take on a new love story and this is going to be a major breakthrough for them. Yep, claiming it because we believe in them. We know  that they'll work harder to make movie goers fall for their new characters , for the story and fall for their natural chemistry.

Are we ready? No? We must be ready but how can you be ready for something that will surely get your knees weak because you know deep inside that kilig is coming? Okay, let's save our energy for next year. Let's celebrate, fam! We are so grateful for this new opportunity. TRACK #1: Opposites Attract

She's Elisse. He's McCoy. There's Mc and there's Lisse. The grand album launch gave Mc & Lisse the opportunity to perform as indivuals. 

Elisse became Selena Gomez for a few minutes and wowed the crowd with her cover of “Wolves” WHOA. Elisse surely conquered all the wolves, the Elisse we know leveled up and truly got to us through that surprising song and dance number.

McCoy had his time to shine as well. The Heartthrob dancer didn't disappoint us with his own surprise number. My Gaaaahd, McCoy. How can we even listen to Bruno Mars's Versace on the Floor properly now? Hehe. It was a special performance, not because he took off his jacket (Kayo ahhhh) It was extra special because McCoy danced with his equally talented brother on stage once again. What a bonus!

McCoy and Elisse may be similar in some ways, but everyone in this fanmily is also a fan of their differences-- the ones that make them stand out, as two separate individuals and as a pair. Didn't McLisse say before that they're always helping each other out? Their interests may sometimes clash, their forte may not be exactly the same but these differences have propelled us to go farther than what we initially planned. Sometimes, we just really have to let their values and beliefs do their part. Look at where we are now. The opposite sides continue to attract each other and produce wonderful things together. We love them for who they are, for every similarities and differences. No more, no less.

Squeeeeee! Tom & Jerry are so different from each other, they fight a lot but at the end of the day, we all know they still can't live without each other.

TRACK #2: Chinito

“Dahil nabihag mo ang aking pagtingin at damdamin, oh chinito!”

Wow. Chinito was just a song they used for their SwerTeen Ball performance last year but now the song has been included in their album tracklist. It even got a fresh spin and yessss, it sounds really nice!!

We know McCoy is full of surprises. Surprises that don't just come from nowhere. Well, to be fair we were already expecting a surprise but we still didn't know how to react when he pulled the necklace out. It is a piece of jewelry, an accessory, a gift that a boy usually gives to a girl but the necklace he gave her holds more meaning that any other fancy-pa-cute-lang-necklace out there. It's really touching that they allow God to guide them in their relationship. Prayers can really move mountains! There goes McLisse climbing and moving mountains together with God by their side.

“Hanggang ngayon nasa akin ka pa din.” Killer line of the night, bes. 150 pogi points for this Chinito! We've heard of how special they are to each other. We couldn't explain it, but when it comes to McLisse, sincerity just overflows. They are not that kind of pair who does things because they are forced to. Alam niyo na. Just because you could, doesn't mean you should. One word, respect. Everything goes well with a perfect timing. We must be mindful that certain situations also call for appropriate actions and reactions. No one wants things to look so pilit or pang-promo lang, right? We all can be a little lowkey here for the sake of protecting the highkey side of their relationship. As one of their celebrity guests, Kristel said, FIGHTING!!

TRACK #3: Para Lang Sayo

“Ako'y iibig pang muli.. para lang sa'yo.”

Another achievement was unlocked. McCoy and Elisse were just joking on the possibility of having an album before but now we're already holding their ALBUM in our hands. We didn't give up because they didn't. They grew stronger that's why we're now stronger more than ever.

People will have different opinions on this project but do they really have to matter now? No, right? If we'll translate “Para Lang Sayo” to English, it'll be “Just for you” or “Only for you.” Who are we all cheering for? Who do we have to put our focus on? Who are we supporting anyway? It's McLisse.  Just McLisse. Only McLisse. BOTH of them. So, there's no need to divert our attention to nega people who don't appreciate music the way we do. Just continue to appreciate the music that jives with respect and positivity. Plug your earphones and ignore the noise.

Para sa McLisse, we can do anything. Nothing's impossible if we will all help one another. Speaking of which, everyone in this fanmily is so grateful beyond words for all the support coming from the Globies/Team Abroad, Team Bahay, Team Online and even the silent fans. 

It was so heartwarming to hear stories of old and new fans on how they came to like McLisse. People who were on the line happily talked about them, mentioning their PBB stint up to their latest teleserye, The Good Son. (Yasss. I’ve heard them. Hihihi) It was nakakakilig to see people of all ages smiling because of McLisse. The people who lined up also came from different demographics. Girl, boy, lgbt, kids, teens, young adults, parents and grandparents. Imagine, sitting in a venue where there's a grandmother in front of your seat, a two-year old baby at your back, a teenage boy on your right and a father on your left. McCoy said it was just a “Get together” or a gathering of all the fans. He got it right for the album launch also became a family gathering and a barkada bonding of some sort.

TRACK #4: Yakap

“Dahil kung ikaw ang yakap ko, parang yakap ko ang langit. At yakap pati ang 'yong ngiti...”

Yakap. A word that is very significant to McLisse fanmily. Would you believe us when we say McLisse gives the best-est hugs ever? You may ask us, “But were they able to hug you one by one?” Well, some of us had already got the chance to hug them in rare occasions but McLisse gives that one-of-the-kind hug in a place where we're not physically present. McCoy and Elisse give the best virtual hugs that a loveteam could ever give. They comfort us. They're always warm toward us. They accept us with arms wide open.

McCoy may sing “Yakap” and you know we'll just have one person in mind (ehem, Elisse... ehem!) but everytime we hear the word “Yakap” we just automatically smile because of one thing. McLisse fanmily is wrapped up together in a very tight embrace. Some have left the circle, some just came in and joined without thinking twice, some have loosen their grip but some have doubled the effort to make the grip of everyone else tighter than before and they are the ones who don't easily give up and step away from the circle-- the hardworking admins of different McLisse fanclubs, you guys deserve tight hugs!!!

Their families were also there to support them. They have truly made their parents proud. Our parents are our very first cheerleaders, our source of strength and our greatest love. We, as son and daughters should work harder and let them sit in the front row as we show them how amazing we've become. They are the ones who deserve a standing ovation for all the love they've showered us before we even held our own microphones and opened our mouths to speak or to sing. McCoy & Elisse made them the proudest of all the people present in SM Skydome. They love their parents so much and it inspires us, their fans to be more loving to our family and to value the time we spend with them. Role models, indeed.

Awww. McCoy and Elisse have found new friends inside Kuya's house. These unbelievably supportive friends deserve a hug too! MayMay, Edward and Jinri (and of course, all their other celebrity friends who aren't in this photo) McLisse fanmily are so grateful to you for making yourself available to show your support to McCoy and Elisse. We, as fans love seeing them surrounded by genuine people who truly know them well since the beginning of their journey as partners.

TRACK #5: If We Fall In Love

It's official. We're in love with the McLisse album!

The album is “very McLisse.” It has feel good tracks that can make you smile. The new arrangements sound lighter than the original but you can definitely tell they were arranged that way to give off that easy-listening vibe. The album is a perfect jam and cure for troubled hearts or anyone who just wants to take a break from a very tiring day. It's the kind of album that you can give to your friend (who's also a yengster or for someone who has a soft spot for sessionistas and their hits!) you can also give it to your significant other (yihee!! exchange gift na with crushie or honey!) and even to your parents (let them reminisce their younger and carefree days, ligawan stage and other kilig days of the past!)

Thank you Star Music. This album is really one of the best gifts McCoy & Elisse have ever received. It is also one of the most memorable gifts we got. Something unexpected, something heartfelt, something that is nicely wrapped, looks soft on the outside but proves to be softer and... sweeter on the inside! We feel really blessed. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

Investigation's done. The OTP that continues to kill more and more viewers every night can be fearlessly named now. Here's our loveteam of interest: Sabina x Obet.

1. Their characters aren't difficult to love.

There's much to say about Sabina's interest in cosplaying. Beneath that tough exterior is a girl with a soft heart. She dresses up as a character from a different story, but you can tell that it has a deeper connection with her personality. It can be linked to the pressure her parents have inflicted on her by persuading her to go on the same track as them. Cosplaying helps her to be more expressive. But it isn't real. She is trapped in that world where she isn't the main character, where she isn't called Sabina De Guzman. Whether or not she'll continue with this hobby, is something we can all look forward to in the coming episodes. 

Sabina and Obet are somehow similar for they tend to keep their real emotion with a different exterior. We got to know Obet as the son with cheerful disposition but deep inside, he's yearning for a father figure in his life. He is happier when he is with his family but he still has a hole in his heart that only his father could fill. Obet smiles a lot, makes people laugh and finds joy in comforting the people around him but for some reason, you can see he's still alone. On the show, we can consider him as an “Outsider” he's not a Buenavidez, he's not studying in Brisard and he's working while everyone else is studying. He is a lot more candid, open and sociable compared to Sabina-- maybe this is where the two points could meet. Sabina and Obet often push away each other eveytime they meet but it's just a matter of time before they realize that what they need is just right in front of them. Let's celebrate weirdness!!!

2. Their fateful encounters always complete the night!

We often hear “Ikaw na naman!” from both of them and automatically think of destiny. But they often meet not just because of some powerful forces. Their choices also brought them closer to each other. Obet never said no to any decent part-time jobs out there and Sabina also happened to appear on the same places as him because she decided to do cosplaying, get costumes, buy coffee and attend the party. Right now, they may choose to act cold toward each other but viewers can still feel the warmth of their interactions through their words and the way they look at each other. Props to McCoy and Elisse for making it more believable, but Sabina and Obet are loved by the viewers now because they're starting to show their layers that only each other can peel. Sabina is an unpredictable character. In the future episodes, she can make a lot of choices that can surprise us or maybe Obet will, but it's not about the choice, really. The lovelines are in full swing now, so it's going to be more of how they will deal with the consequences of their decisions, especially when they decide to test the waters and become friends. Ughhhhh yessss we're excited!!!

3. We have a power couple in the making...

They're the OTP that's pretty much connected with everything and everyone on the show, except for one thing. Obet isn't a Buenavidez. You may think that's a blessing in disguise, but the journey isn't going to be that easy for the both of them. First, Matilda likes Sabina for Enzo (O—kay guys, this is working. The rage is real. lol jk.) Second, as of present time, there's BDG. The business partnership is still intact. Third, Obet is still Racquel's son. If he and Sabina are bound to get closer, it could raise people's eyebrows. Fourth, Obet's father is still in prison. We still don't know how Sabina's parents will take that. Lastly, we're not yet done with the investigation, who knows if Obet will be a person of interest too? Things can get messy but we're excited to see how Sabina and Obet will exit their way into this complicated web of secrets, lies and betrayal. More mystery, more fun!!!

1. Bes, FOCUS!

This is it fam! Were you one of those many makukulet fans who kept on requesting for a McLisse concert before? Now, you got your request granted! It's even bigger than what you expected. On November 26, all the spotlights will focus on McLisse and YOU, will have to set your full attention on them too!

Hell week is over so you have no choice but to cast those bad vibes away. Don't come with doubts, grudges or bitterness. You decided to come because you want to enjoy too, right? You can come as an Elisse fan, McCoy fan or a McLisse fan but one thing's for sure, there's no room for hate on that day. Kuya Guard will not allow bubog inside the concert venue so you better shake off all your personal hugots! Join Lenka as she sings, “And just enjoy the show....”

2. Be Passionate

So, what do you want them to feel? How do you want them to feel it? Fam, McCoy and Elisse once said that they only see this event as a GT-- not a concert. Mc & Lisse also want us to come together and unite as one NOT because they need viewers to fill the dome. They want to feel us--- our presence, our support, our passion. This coming November 26, let us inspire them so that they can bring the house down and let’s make them feel that burning fire inside us.

3. Be Spontaneous

Oh yes. You need that. Fangirl/Fanboys usually get concert jitters the night before the concert. It's normal but don't let it kill the joy you've been saving up for the big day. Be natural. Get ready to meet new friends, experience a lot of “firsts” and capture the best moments. Get excited to see old and familiar faces, get excited to see unexpected performances and feel free to express your emotions. Laugh when you feel like laughing, smile when your brain tells you to, squeal when you can't pigil the kilig anymore and cry when you feel like no words can ever describe how happy you are. Feel everything. Speak your heart out and most importantly, be spontaneous. This is another “First” for us, so make the most out of it!!!

So, mahal niyo ba ang MCLISSE? Ah, eh.... hindi na naman kailangan tanungin yan. OHA TUMBLING!! Pangmatagalan po kasi ito, just like what McCoy is to Elisse. HUHU I'M NOT CRYING, YOU ARE.

4. Grab your tickets!!!

HOW IN THE WORLD CAN YOU ENTER THE VENUE WITHOUT A TICKET? OF COURSE, YOU NEED A TICKET. Hihi. Best things in life are free but..... best things also come with effort. Effort to do whatever you can to be at the right place at the right time. In this case, the right place is at SM Skydome and the right place, November 26, 5pm. 

Being a fan really hurts when you feel broke or you need to stash cash away for fandom activities but it eventually pays off when you feel satisfied in the end. We all want that satisfying feeling which has to come with contentment, right? Some circumstances are uncontrollable. If you think it's not practical for you to go, it's okay. No one wants to deal with Kyah pembarya situation since holiday season is here again, so it's better to know your priorities first. Just keep the faith, you never know where McLisse's next destination is! Not everyone can come in events like this, but knowing McLisse fanmily, everyone will surely exert double effort to keep everyone updated so that no one will feel left out even if you're Team bahay or Team Abroad. Kilig is for sharing, so we might as well distribute them wholeheartedly.

PETMALU!

Remember how we recovered from our past mistakes? It's always a good thing to reflect on how we rose from all the setbacks which made us fiercer over time. We're already here. This is what we have now and this is where our patience brought us. Malupet, dibaaaa?

We were just waiting for McLisse's new serye few months ago but now, we already have Sabina and Obet. Every scene they'll appear in will eventually go down in history. So, we better enjoy what we have right in front of us and enjoy the journey of their characters as we keep up with McLisse and our real-life journey with them.

Obet has been surprising us with his great range of emotions since the very first episode. We've laughed because of his killer banats, got kilig feels with his love-hate relationship with Sabina, cried bucket of tears because of his pain as a son who yearns for a father and got frustrated on how close-minded he could get when it comes to her mother's reason of keeping him away from his father. Sabina may not always appear on our TV screens but when she does, expect that the scene will give you more reasons to watch out for her. She's interesting as her passion for cosplaying but there's more to her than meets the eye. Malupet sila, pero mas malupet yung suporta ng viewers. Thank you THE GOOD SON and Dreamscape, of course. We now have a reason to stick with Primetime bida again!

LODI!

The best is yet to come. IDOLS exist because we fans, support their projects and appreciate them. This FanMily always favors persistence over pain. Who needs damage control if you know how to brush off unnecesary issues with a smile? With a prayer? With a brave heart?  Not everyone gets the chance to star in an MMFF film, not everyone gets to record a full-length album under Star Music and not everyone gets to hold a concert, asdfghjkl CONCERT!!! Tenkyu, Lord!!!

Here's a secret. You see, McLisse fans don't simply see McCoy and Elisse as idols-- they're not just seen as famous personalities with faces printed out in large tarpaulins or celebrities who gather hundred of fans during mall shows. Fans also see them as inspiration and as...their friends. Real IDOLS also care about how their fans feel. Real IDOLS also look after their supporters and will always be the first ones to assure that everything's going to be alright. Fans may not know the whole story of what's going on on and off-cam, but at the very least, Mc & Lisse always stand by us through whatever means they can.

WERPA!

The power couple. This fanmily got the “power.” We have the power to lift one another whenever difficult times get in the way. We have the power to choose happiness more than anything no matter how tough the situation is. We have the power to pray hard in order to keep a good attitude as we face the unknown. This fanmily also got a “couple.” A couple that cares not just for each other but also for the people who love them dearly. A couple that won't let negativity ruin what they've already started.

Mall balconies are too hostile to many. People who have fear of heights would always feel weak with their knees trembling just being a few steps close to it. People who are naturally scared of falling wouldn't even dare to stand near the balcony even if it's built with steel bars and glass. It's a no-no-no for them. It gets more frightening once they look down and see how high their spot actually is. The higher the view, the scarier it gets. Mall balconies are usually uninviting but last night, balconies suddenly became friendly to us. For a moment, everyone was ready to look down, to look up, to hold on and to let things fall into place.

Escalated

It's no secret to us that fans always look forward to Star Magic Ball proposals. Too showbiz? Well, it has to be. Star Magic Ball is a highly-anticipated event. Who wouldn't want to gush over cute and creative proposals? It's all part of the process, guys. Publicity counts, gimmicks are given but the “real effort” coming from the artists is what makes it all special. McCoy has always been good in popping surprises. Remember when he came back inside PBB house for SwerTeen ball? The memories of the blindfold, the impulse and the flow of his words are still fresh to us. It was his first proposal to Elisse that made us say “Lord, penge ng isang McCoy!” He also proposed to Elisse last year in It's Showtime where placards and One hundred Roses gladly took the spotlight. Take note, it was LIVE. We'd be lying if we say we aren't proud of these proposals. This year, the fanmily came up with the idea that even an intimate proposal would be fine. But it seems like we're not really meant to settle with assumptions or a discreet invitation. Last night, fans dressed up with Romantic Red shirts and graced the Mega Mall Fashion Hall to witness the Making Mega Turkey Documentary with McLisse. Everyone came to see the MEGA documentary without a clue that something worth documenting was going to happen.

The “Red Balloon series” finally came to an end last night with the last balloon showing up with “LABLAB” written on it. If we're going to think about it, it seems like “time” unselfishly allowed this crazy wonderful plan to work out perfectly. The puzzle pieces perfectly fit one another. Don't blame September for stapling the moments so well! The Good Son, MEGA documentary and Star Magic Ball 2017 were all set to happen this month just like how McCoy's plans were all set to be fulfilled.

LOOK UP x LOOK DOWN

McCoy is a big box full of surprises, you can also consider him as a big box that's full of things that you never thought you needed and he's also a big box who doesn't limit himself inside the four walls. He thinks as if there's no box. He will go out of his way when love calls.

Elisse's happiness was way above the clouds too. The balloons scattered as they floated around the large space. Happiness isn't supposed to stay in one place. It's meant to be shared, it should fly and it should reach even the most hopeless corners of the Earth. Mokya made Elisse's heart happy. He truly did. 

The hundRED balloons fell, the vertical banner showed itself to people who were dying of anticipation. It asked Elisse if she would go to the ball with someone who has always been treating her as a princess. She said “YES” not just once but multiple times. The long banner wasn't just a simple prop. It successfully served its purpose of being a “messenger” that reminded us that no matter how long would it take, we would still get the message. It didn't just show the message literally. It didn't just show us the question written on it. It also showed us the effort, creativity and sincerity all rolled into one long piece of cloth.

We were reminded that in times we're down, we can always look up to search for an answer and in this case, we indeed got an answer-- McCoy really prepared a special proposal for her. The question of whether he would ask her publicly was answered in a very very special way. We also got to hear McLisse calling each other “LabLab” in public! Another oMEGAd moment, bes.

The proposal made a mark in our hearts again. Effort will always beat extravagance. McCoy outdid his past surprises but... no pressure for the future ones, Mokya! We just wanted them to continue surprising each other with good stuffs. The fanmily always got McCoy and ELisse no matter what, with or without grand surprises, we’re always here to hold on. McCoy and Elisse would often say that it's the little things that matter the most, but sometimes it's also good to appreciate the bigger ones so that you can also see how far a person would go for love. Awwww McLisse.

Mall balconies will never be the same again. The next time we find ourselves strolling around the mall, we'll surely look around, notice and appreciate the balcony of each floors. We will always remember how McLisse had let things fall freely into place as we reflect that beautiful things can also happen even in the riskiest places we don't always dare to set foot on.

Star Magic Ball 2017, here we go!!

1. “Kaya po nila ma-conquer ang world habang magka-holding hands”

1, 2, 3... awwww! Mc & Lisse really love to hold each other's hands. It's one of the sweetest things that we often squeal about in this fandom but knowing our otp's innermost feeling towards the deed definitely spells a different level of euphoria. Yes, friends. It's better to know the depth of the most meaningful gestures in the world instead of just enjoying what we simply see on the surface. They hold hands not just for the sake of skinship or giving the press a good material and a reason to hit the shutter. They hold hands because it gives them a sense of security, comfort and courage-- courage to face the world and do anything as long as they're together.  O-kay, this revelation deserves another “awwww” reaction!

2. “Kaya po nila yakapin ang mundo nang hindi pumupunta sa outerspace”

Gone are the days when we were all about bitin hugs and awkward to-hug-or-not-to-hug situations.  Now, we get to feel the embrace of the sweetest reality eveytime McCoy and Elisse wrap their arms around each other. The OPM song says, “You hug me like I'm the one who's precious, I hate to break it to you but it's just the other way around...” It's easier to agree with Rico Blanco than to blame him. They say, the world needs love but sometimes, we fail to realize that “Love” also needs “a world” where it could stay for good. You're lucky if you have met “that world” where your love has chosen to live permanently. Right, McLisse?

3. “Kaya po nila mandamay sa kilig habang kinilkilig sila sa isa't-isa”

This is the kind of trouble that won't really make you ask the question “Bakit nandamay ka pa?” even once. McLisse always puts us in deep trouble everytime they're on the hotseat. Saan kami pupulutin after all these kilig feels? McCoy and Elisse have their own way of making people happy without being aware of it. They're naturally happy whenever they're together and that certain kind of happiness exposes more of their genuine feelings and honest thoughts which make us feel kilig without prior notice.

4. “Kaya po nila mag-breakout nang hindi tumatakas”

Congratulations McLisse for winning PEP's Male Breakout Star of the year and Female Breakout Star of the year! The fanmily's hardwork paid off once again. Bongga. PAWERRRRR! The effort of the whole fandom truly helped the awards find their way home. They have found home in McCoy and Elisse's hands and just like what real parents would do, they would surely take care of them and see them as inspiration in the long run. McCoy and Elisse deserve this recognition more than anyone else. Their achievements and unexpected success have a lot more to say than the haters, so, just ignore their drama. They are called “Breakout stars” because they have a potential-- a potential to create more breakthroughs and make more award-winning performances in the future. Labaaaan!

5. “Kaya po nila magpakilig habang nananakot si Pennywise sa sinehan”

Pennywise is running out of Red balloons. Yaaaaaass.

McCoy cooked something special for us and for his partner once again! IT was fearless. IT was unexpected. IT was sweet. He went out of his way again to  prove that we won't have to wait for another Twenty-Seven years in order to see another surprise coming from him. This time, he did it one by one, step by step. The “Red balloon series” woke our senses up and got us since the very first balloon. I. ALWAYS. GOT. YOU. 

McCoy's really good at this! What's with September that makes McCoy pull out lovely surprises? Fall in love with McLisse, you'll float too.

6. “Kaya po nila mag-ILY sa isa't-isa  kahit sa tinginan lang”

We know you know that we easily get crazy because of you McLisse, but we just really have us to say it again, “Nakakabaliw kayo!” Haaalp! Every TWBA guesting with McLisse is different. We're not just talking about revelations here but more on the development or status of their relationship. The coolest part here, is not the answer but the little things they do that leave us with something bigger than the word “YES.” 

You know, Elisse have killed us again when she answered “LabLab” as their label if the world would require one. WE'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO KNOW THE ANSWER BECAUSE IT WAS JUST FOR TITO BOY BUT ELISSE DIDN'T EVEN WHISPER IT TO HIM MR. CAMERA MAN DID HIS JOB WELL AND NOW THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS HER ANSWER THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A SECRET BUT IT'S NOT ANYMORE AND IT'S NOT A SECRET THAT MCCOY ALSO TAGGED HER AS LABLAB IN HIS POST LAST TIME AND OH NOOOO, O-KAY ARE WE STILL ALIVE? NO RIGHT!?? OTP JUST KILLED US. It's really the little things McLisse, it's really the little things.

There are questions that you don't really have to ask because some are too generous in giving the answers right away. They may not be in the form of words but they're still considered as “answers”. There are also answers that don't really have to be given out just to address every questions asked. We just have to be open-minded that our chosen OTP is part of an industry where the answers see no time. What we don't know is that, it has always been there, it's already there and it will always be there. *wink!

The Good Son's about to come to make our prime time viewing experience better and to give us the best lessons about family, friendship and love. Guyssss, it's finally here! After sudden changes, revisions and countless “Malapit na!” Dreamscape's finally releasing their newest game changer just in time.

It's slated to premiere on September 25, 2017 (replacing A Love to Last) Good news for fans who kept on requesting for it to air at night. Dreamscape granted our wish so, be ready to hype it up, boost the ratings and tweet your hearts out as the show graces our TV screens on September 25! McCoy and Elisse are part of this mysterious teleserye and we all can't wait to meet their characters: Obet and Sabina.

New teleserye. New characters. New couple name.

Obina? BetIna? Betna? ...SaBet!?

Besh, seryoso? SaBet? LMAO. Seryoso? ... Yes, besh. Let's reflect on it.

HANG

“Hang” can mean positively or negatively. Most of the time the word can also be neutral. But it's still up to you on how you want to see it.

Attached... We are attached to them. Attached, in a good way. Attachment which benefits both sides. It's the kind of attachment that lets beautiful ideals blossom into more beautiful accomplishments. Imago's “Sundo” says “Saakin mo isabit ang pangarap mo, di kukulangin ang ibibigay.” Dreams happen because someone's making them happen. It's always good to have a confidant or an inspiration who will be there with you throughout the journey, someone who will inspire you as you build or rebuild your dreams-- that's how we are to McLisse and that's how they are to us.

Linger, remain or persist. We often say “Hang in there, bes!” Do we ever consider “giving up” as an option? --Never. We continue to persevere and hold on to what we believe in. It's easy for us to hang on, since everyone in this fanmily exerts effort and values commitment. McLisseians have mastered the art of waiting. We can say that we now know how to keep calm when things get shaky or doubtful.

“Hang together” means being loyal to one another It's also means being logical or consistent. Hmmm, unity and consistency. They really sound familiar, right? Two words that are so overused in this fandom and will remain to be overused for all eternity.

Obet and Sabina are about to keep things more interesting. We also have other pairs in the show (aminin! may kilig sa mga patikim sa love trailer!) but we know that we're 101% devoted to only one ship. :)

Sabina and Obet are bound to attract viewers' eyes but they will surely make them stay by heart. SaBet will bring back that nakakakaba, nakakaaliw, nakakakilig, nakakaaliw feels in prime time so, brace yourselves. We will fall for them just like how we fell for McLisse – hook, line and sinker.

This new TV couple will be like a precious necklace that hangs in your neck, a hanger that holds your most comfortable dress or a picture frame which houses a photograph of one of your best memories that's hanging for a very long time in your bedroom wall.

It's going to be just as important as “Come in, we're open” signage that hangs in the glassdoor of your favorite coffee shop. We will see more of their interesting characters every night and they could mean more to us as the story progresses. We believe “SaBet” deserves a place in our hearts. It's a partnership that we should always support, handle with great care and look after in order to last longer. Parang McLisse lang, ganern.

As “The Good Son” starts few weeks from now, allow Sabina and Obet (SaBet) to hang a piece of themselves inside your humble homes. A piece that will not serve as a décor, but a piece that will always remind you of the good times, good episodes and a satisfying, good story once the end credits roll for the last time.

Every moment feels like a fairytale whenever they're together. In a world full of chaos, it's still a joy to have a ship like McLisse. You may feel cursed at times, but McCoy and Elisse can easily turn the blues into colorful hues of happiness. Elisse isn't a damsel in distress anymore,  and no, she was not saved by his prince. Her prince just helped her to open up to the world and love herself more.

2. Love Story

We're at the age where everybody is moved by throwbacks. We're consumed by the thoughts of their first Star Magic ball together, Star Magic Ball last year that knocked us off our feet and of course, the Star Magic Ball that's yet to happen next month. A real love story has no ending-- everyone in the room agrees and we just can't wait to be part of many adventures to come!

3. Fearless

“...And I don't know why but with you I'd dance in a storm in my best dress, fearless!”

Everyone in this fandom knows what “Fearless” truly means. It's not just a word, a song or an expression. It's a pivotal point in our journey. A move that no one even dared to predict. McLisse made our September 2016 memorable for a lot of reasons but the night when McMc was introduced to the world was one of our all-time favorites. It's one of the best places in our memory where we always find ourselves coming back and it's something that we'll always bring along with us wherever this roadtrip may lead us.

4. Jump then Fall

“Everytime you smile, I smile and everytime you shine, I'll shine for you...”

Everyone is waiting for the word “fall” to perfectly fall into place. But as we all know, timing is everything. We jump with joy for each blessings the fanmily receives and we also want our ship to fall in love the right way-- not just because of pressure or promotion. The time will come for us and before it does, let's keep our balance to keep ourselves from falling out of love and remember why everything worth the wait is also worth the fight. Diba nga, iba talaga pag mas nakilala mo pa yung taong gusto mo? :)

5. Sparks Fly

Yes. To us, McLisse is the only ship that can make us drop everything especially when there are ganaps that we wouldn't want to miss. We saw their connection since day One and sparks continue to fly up to this day. Maybe it's all in their smiles? Is it with the look in their eyes? Or the calmness in our hearts? Sparks fly as we fly our way to success!

6. Mine

“You are the best thing that's ever been mine.”

They're not exactly “Ours.” You see, fans don't own this ship or their faves' lives but they're an essential part of their wonderful journey. We're lucky enough to know that they have each other. They're working  and slowly building their dreams together. They're partners and that's what really matters. The careful daughter have learned the hard way. Day by day, she worked hard to be a better version of herself. She decided to move forward with a promise that her future decision will set everyone in this fanmily to move forward. *wink wink* Alam mo na yan, Aling Elisse! Haha.

What's your all-time favorite McLisse song? O Pag-ibig? Sila? Kung Magiging Tayo? If We Fall In Love? Even our entire McLisse playlist will find it difficult to answer that but one thing's for sure, any song that embraces them always ends up embracing us. There are a lot of beautiful songs that will surely come for us in the future, new songs that will capture our feels, new melodies to get stuck in our heads and more charts to conquer. But our “cheers” and words of encouragement will always be the best song that they'll ever hear. The support coming from us will always top the spot and make everything a certified HIT. There's no need for us to tell you that Red is the most used color in our palette but we're telling it anyway to remind you how much this fanmily loves this color. McLisse would always show up with “something Red” in some of the most unforgettable moments in their career. The first pictorial in Vietnam, first McDo Ad, first Guillermo Award, first Anniversary with FPJAP at Araneta, FIRST year anniversary at Glass Garden and so on. We can also  see Red hearts flying in their first MEGA magazine cover together! THAT COVER. Ang ganda ganda ganda po. It was lit. >>>

10. New Romantics

Okay, going back to THAT COVER. It's the Second time that McLisse got the “New Romantics” caption (First was with Chalk Mag) Ooh. Taylor owns the song but McLisse pretty much own that recurring caption!! NEW... means something fresh, recent or modern.

Thank you MEGA magazine! We're lost for words. Turkey is already a beautiful place but you cared to match it with McLisse's beautiful chemistry. It turned out to be a beautiful, breathtaking and fiery combination of art and passion. Thanks for this opportunity MEGA! Look what you made “us” do! :)

Even heroes deserve to take a break. Superman doesn't really need a magic carpet to explore a whole new world, but he could use a wish. A wish to spend more time with his Lois Lane, perhaps? Superman flew all the way to Turkey with his “Lois Lane” for a shining, shimmering, splendid photo shoot-- a “mega” treat that's currently in the works.

Superman became Aladdin for a few days. McCoy ditched his red cape for a magic carpet, not minding any alter-ego at all while his Lois Lane transformed into a different Princess that would suit the setting of their newest adventure. Hello, Princess Jasmine! Tell me, princess, when was the last time you let your heart decide? You just sang that part, didn't you?

McLisse had given us passports to happy memories. We met them in Vietnam, spent good times in Hong Kong and now, they even took us on a tour in Turkey. It is said that you leave a piece of you in every country you visit. The countries that McLisse have visited also left wonderful memories for us to cherish and it's really great to have an OTP that doesn't only care about sharing a piece of themselves but also make sure that their supporters will also take part in happy memories they're making along the way.  

Every snap pulled us closer to them. The short but sweet videos also took us to the exact moments. Unbelievable sights, indescribable feeling. Their smiles told a lot of stories but our favorite one was told by a gentle whisper saying “They're happy.”

McLisse fanmily considers every twists and...turns as a “surprise”. There are things that we badly wanted but sometimes, they're not really meant for us. Did we ever stop believing? We didn't. We believe that we can make things happen but sometimes, things aren't meant to happen to us. The important thing is that we tried, right? We will continue to meet genies or fairy godmothers in this journey but they won't always grant every wish we make. Remember, there are no rejections in life, only redirections. Happy naman diba? Happy!

Hey look at the Sun! Do you know a guy who has a thing with flowers? A guy who always make sure that you don't just get to collect memories from a certain place but also make sure that you get to keep a flower to remember forever? Seriously, how many flowers can fill our fandom's vase? 10 cash-ya, larga! :D

McCoy surprised us again by giving his princess a Sunflower. Hmmm. It's Elisse's favorite! (Yes, brain cells! Recall her TWBA fast talk!) Sunflowers are symbol of faith, loyalty and adoration. Mygad, Marc Carlos. Sunflowers always seek out the Sun and face it. Pretty much like McLisse! McLisse always face the Sun and inspire us to be optimistic at all times. As we all know, Superman grew up in a farm in Kansas where Sunflower is considered as a “state flower.” Whoa. Nakakatarantang connections. So, yeah... Sunflower has upgraded itself from being just a “flower” to McLisse fandom's flower. Expect us to grow more of them in our fandom's garden! #Positivity

Everyday, we jump into a new adventure. It doesn't matter what kind of adventure it is, as long as you're with the person who matters a lot to you. Joining a fandom is an adventure. You may know what to expect but high expectations will always end up defeating you. Just go with the flow, as they say. Fangirling isn't for the faint of heart. Your OTP can be your own Kryptonite. It will be used against you but if you know their strengths and weaknesses just like how we are with McLisse, your heart will surely survive. 

Fangirling is more fun in this fandom. McCoy & Elisse are continuously pulling us to join them in their adventure-- it's something that you don't always see in other team-ups and seeing them sticking to each other is also making us stick with them too. Well, everyone is clingy in this fandom so expect us to stick together 'til the end. Yes, clingy even when there are no cameras or people around us. Diba, ser? :)

McLisse only stayed for a couple of days in Turkey but their trip had given us a lot of excess kiligan that we couldn't really stuff inside our baggages. Once again, we feel blessed knowing that something BIG's coming in a few months. Everything's that still unseen will continue to play with our imagination and make us crazy until the publishing day. The pictures that aren't printed yet, the layout that hasn't come out yet and the words full of love that we haven't read yet are meant to bring us back to a place where it all began.
