Can we get a link to the well story pls? I can't find it
Itâs not impossible to live in the well. When I fell in, a naive child committing the apparently unforgivable sin of not looking where I was

There is one random white pod in the O. asellus tub who i called "white baby" when it was tiny, but... it is no longer a baby!!
the O. asellus tub has become pretty crowded, and I need to either get a bigger tub, or divide them into two tubs. Should I separate the piebalds from the wild types? And what about white baby? đ¤

pallasâs sandgrouse is a medium-to-large member of the sandgrouse family with a range within eurasia. while this bird has a slender, pigeon-like head and neck, they have a more compact and heavyweight body. the sexes are similar, but females are duller in coloration and lack the gray breast band found on the male. these birds almost entirely feed off of dry seeds, giving them a need for a high water intake; male parents bring water to their chicks by soaking their chest feathers in puddles. this speciesâ feet are unique, with an appearance more like a paw than an avian foot; the first three toes are fused together, and the species forgoes a back toe entirely.
Red-winged Blackbirds are very beautiful in all the shapes and looks they come in. Some of them are starting to molt now, getting rid of old feathers and growing nice new ones while it is warm, exposing skin on bald parts where the feathers still need to grow back. It gives them the look of warriors, somehow. Number 2 is a female.

what are some fun things youve learned certain plants can do? things you wouldn't expect like mimicry, movement, or properties like latex or fibers. i always think its interesting how some species challenge us to think of whats normal for a plant, what we take for granted.
I had a purple passionflower in a pot for my boss and had brought it inside to give it to her, and it was sitting on the floor and I was watching it and it startled the hell out of me because watching closely, I saw that it was moving.
It had been suddenly brought into a low-light environment, and there was a window off to the side. and I saw the end of the vine gently swaying, triangulating the light source, and the tendrils extending as the plant reached toward the light coming from the window
It freaked me out! But it was so cool! I hadn't realized that plant movement could be visible in such circumstances...
Emperor Shah Jahanâs wine cup, 1657,
The cup is shaped like a gourd with the handle carved into the head of a ram. The base features acanthus leaves radiating out from a lotus flower which is raised to form a pedestal for the cup.
The different features of the cup reflect the variety of cultural and artistic influences that were welcomed at the Mughal court. Persian in their cultural background and Indian by adoption, the Mughals were also open to new ideas from the West.
Jesuits at the Mughal court, entertaining futile ideas of converting an Empire, were welcomed for their learning; ambassadors and merchants for their exotic gifts and promises of trade.
Craftsmen-adventurers were especially welcomed for their skills and knowledge of unfamiliar technologies.
The use of a gourd form for the body of the cup is Chinese in inspiration, while the lotus petals and sensitivity of animal portraiture are characteristic features of Hindu art. The ideas of the pedestal support and the use of acanthus leaves are also European in origin and parallel similar elements in the decoration of Mughal architecture during Shah Jahan's reign.
Yet for all its eclecticism, with features from China, Iran, Europe and India, the art of the Mughals achieved a brilliant unity. This unity is perfectly exemplified in the jade cup which entered Shah Jahan's treasury in the last year of his reign and now provides such strong visual support to the legend of the dynasty's splendour.

these cypresses are completely laced thru by wisteria and I was so activated by the sight of them I literally pulled over on the side of the road to take a picture (even tho their best angle was the north (left) side)
đFeast your eyes on the dazzling colors of the rainbow leaf beetle (Chrysolina cerealis)! Though this insect is widely distributed across Europe, itâs seldom seen. Growing up to 0.5 in (1.3 cm) in size, this critter feeds on plants including ivy, roses, and thyme. It prefers to inhabit montane forests at elevations of up to 1,970 ft (600 m).Â
