Uhhgg let me be honest, I completely forgot the tiddlytubbies were a thing before I saw this lmao

And this may be just because I don’t watch the new series or the Tiddlytubbies show (or any of the YouTube slop they’re in), but if that’s coming from a teletubbies super fan it’s a pretty good indication of how forgettable they are

I HATE how they look in the main show, I personally think they look incredibly freaky..

But I will say they’re cute in the Tiddlytubbies spin-off series, their facial expressions are still a bit uncanny to a degree though😭

Uhhh other thoughts, they’re really just fodder for cheap merch okay bye

Okay so here’s the thang… I have no idea what I’m doing when I draw backgrounds half the time BUT I will try my best to explain what works for me

(Also thank you!!)

So a lot of the time I draw the characters first, I find it easier to draw the environment around them after that

Drawing a flat plain and placing a dot right in the middle of it (Or whichever way you’re perspective is facing), before dragging out some lines like this:

gives me a general idea of where some trees, buildings, etc could go

And then RANDOM BULLSHIT GO‼️

It helps if you add a base to any props to get a better idea of where they would sit on the plain (ex: the circles at the base of the trees)

adding stuff in the foreground can also make it more cinematic or cover up mistakes that I’ve made COUGH COUGH

I need him to curl up and bawl his eyes out because he’s utterly terrified and fully convinced everything is his fault

And he still has a big ass chainsaw BUT he can just barely lift it because all he does is sit and watch cameras all day

I hate how much harder it’s made going about the world without it.

I HATE. How it’s killed my attention span, how it’s permanently warped my perception of people and the world, and how it’s made me scared of literally everything.

I like to say I mourn a time I didn’t grow up in, which is just… The world pre widely available internet. I feel like I could have thrived so much better then, but since I grew up on the internet (and now the entire world relies on it for everything) I will never be able to have that.

It makes consuming media more convenient and sharing the things I love easy for sure. That’s really all I want to use it for. But I’m addicted to it, like everyone else. But it also makes me genuinely miserable Okayy another rant done

Also, thank you for all the kind words and compliments regarding my art. I am doing this purely for the love of the game with little expectation of engagement, but to see as much appreciation for my art and interests as I have makes me feel a little less cynical about it❤️
